About Us
History
Everyone deserves a place that is surrounded by love and support all while fostering independence and fellowship. Starting support for adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible has always been Candace Hunter’s dream. Her brother, Blake, born with Down syndrome, ignited her passion long ago. Each site will house up to 4 adults providing them 24 hour care. Adults with disabilities, and their families, often find themselves with limited resources and options when it comes to housing and Blake’s Place is a wonderful resource for Plymouth, IN.
Mission
The mission of Blake’s Place is to provide safe, education, and developmentally appropriate life skills within the home and community through a person-centered approach. We aim to enhance individuals' quality of life by providing stimulating care that promotes each individual's social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our goal is to support and empower all individuals to lead independent, meaningful, and dignified lives.
