When we open our doors in late 2026, WSI will be so much more than just an airport - it will be a destination in its own right. Art can play a pivotal role in creating a positive experience for our customers, by helping to make WSI a welcoming, engaging space for travellers coming to our airport. We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Western Sydney and wider Australia's most exciting artists to develop transformative and unique pieces of art for Sydney's new 24-hour airport. We are calling on artists who reflect the diversity of voices and cultures that thrive in Western Sydney - our city's cultural heartland. Expressions of Interest will close on Wednesday 27 November. What a massive weekend connecting with our community! The WSI Community Engagement team attended the Transport for NSW M7/M12 Community open day at Western Sydney Parklands, and the Sydney Metro Community Open Day at the future Orchard Hills station. They were kept busy chatting with residents and businesses keen to find out more about the progress with Sydney’s brand-new 24-hour domestic, international and cargo airport. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone was excited to find out more, particularly how WSI will be a catalyst for unprecedented opportunities for Western Sydney locals. From higher quality jobs closer to home, to more options for international and domestic flights due to our 24-hour operations. Not to mention the improved connectivity thanks to the investment in transport infrastructure! We know how important it is for us to engage with the community. It’s great to hear from people who are excited about the airport’s opening, and we can’t wait to welcome them in late 2026. #WSI #WSIAirport #WesternSydneyInternationalAirport #CommunityEngagement #SydneyMetro #TransportforNSW

As we wrap up Airport Safety Week, we are renewing our unwavering focus on safety. Although we're not an operating airport quite yet, we are working hard to make sure that safety remains a part of our DNA as we transition from construction into testing - and then into operations. #ASW2024 #AirportSafetyWeek #WesternSydney #WesternSydneyAirport #WSI #Safety Bechtel Corporation Multiplex BMD Group ACCIONA AU & NZ CPB Contractors Seymour Whyte

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport will reshape what passengers will experience when they travel. We will embrace new and different ways of doing things to put our customers at the centre of everything we do. Nancy-Bird Walton was an aviation pioneer, who forged a new path for women in aviation. She was the youngest Australian woman to become a fully qualified pilot at 19. It's her pioneering spirit that has inspired us to do things differently. Happy Birthday, Nancy-Bird! We are proud to carry your name and legacy ❤️ #WSI #WesternSydney #WesternSydneyAirport #NancyBirdWalton #Pioneering

Congratulations to Matthew Coutts – Executive Manager, Airline Partnerships for completing his Master of Applied Finance at UNSW! ‘I’m very thankful that WSI supported me in completing this course alongside my role’ said Matthew, who was successful in applying for WSI sponsored education assistance. ‘Everyone is so busy, and having the organisation show faith in me and my education has been inspiring. I am definitely humbled!’ Matthew’s program helped him build a solid foundation of financial concepts and useful practical skills for issues he’s likely to encounter working in the commercial area of a large, globally focused business like WSI. He covered topics from Corporate Finance and Investment Analysis to Risk Management. ‘I cannot wait to see WSI commence operations!’ added Matthew who has been working at the airport since 2021. ‘We are all working so hard at making this airport as good as it can be, and a fantastic experience for those lucky enough to fly from here’ Well said Matthew, and congratulations! #WSI #WesternSydney #Education #Aviation #WSIAirport

The majority of our mentoring programs for secondary school students take place in the high-rise offices of our member companies. How amazing then for a group of students to be taken on a special behind-the-scenes bus tour of the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport! The students were being mentored in our Interview 2 Impress program and their confidence to participate in a job interview climbed from 23 to 89% following the session with mentors from Western Sydney International Airport. We love the thought of these students going on to secure one of the anticipated 200,000 new jobs in the Aerotropolis and broader Western Parkland City when it becomes a high‑skill jobs hub across aerospace and defence, manufacturing, healthcare, freight and logistics, agribusiness, education and research industries – they’ll certainly be able to say they saw it grow from the ground up! Thanks Western Sydney International Airport and Katy Hannouch, Claritta Quiroz Murrieta, Samuel Corry, Dana Brown, Marcelo Garay, Leanne Vass, Elise Harris, Jo-anne Topp, Asha Frost, Eva Atkins and Guy Cuthbertson. #mentoringmatters #skilledvolunteers #mentoring
