Ever since their father died, Kuga Ichirou has struggled to support his two younger siblings on nothing but a small inheritance and his passion for drawing manga. But it's becoming harder to keep up with his growing responsibilities and deadlines, especially after his last two assistants quit to follow their dreams. Just as he's nearing his breaking point, the beautiful and scarily competent Goshiki Shiori applies to become his new assistant. But there's something almost otherworldly about Goshiki, and soon Kuga finds his reality turned upside down when she suddenly declares them engaged to marry!

They both share characters that are strongly in love in "Midori Days", it starts just one sided and in "A Galaxy Next Door" it's a slow slice of life. Their relationship grows and develops as the series unfolds we never have doubt about the relationship of characters in either.

This anime attempted something different with the origins of the main female lead that really wasn't necessary. The characters were alright, the pacing is slow and the romance is safe. For the most part, this is a relaxing romance that goes slow at different sections of the show. Maybe if the episodes were half-length this might have been tighter paced. Overall, this is an average romance show that goes slow and plays it pretty safe, but if you're in the mood for a relaxing romance anime, this is an ok watch.

It's a story of a couple brought together by change and circumstance and shows how their love progresses. Very cute slow paced showing each ones perspective. It show how they come together to deal with problems and issues and ends off on a positive note, but still where they are dating. Leaves room for progression and thankfully not on a cliffhanger. There is very little anxiety throughout the story itself, so if you like a slow paced slice of life positive romance then this could be for you.
