NC State quarterback Grayson McCall left during the first half of the Wolfpack's 30-20 win over Louisiana Tech with an undisclosed injury and did not return.

McCall struggled early, going 9-of-13 for 54 yards. After leading a drive that resulted in a field goal, McCall was seen heading into the locker room with a towel over his head.

NC State did not describe the nature of the injury. Coach Dave Doeren told reporters after the game he would not comment on McCall's injury until his weekly press conference on Monday.

True freshman quarterback CJ Bailey entered the game in place of McCall and led the Wolfpack to the win. Bailey completed 13-of-20 passes for 156 yards with one interception and added 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

McCall transferred to NC State from Coastal Carolina in the offseason, hoping to lead the Wolfpack to an ACC championship. Instead, it has been a rocky start, as the Wolfpack came into Saturday off a 51-10 loss to Tennessee.
