Francis Newport, 1st Earl of Bradford was born on 23 February 1619/20.1 He was the son of Richard Newport, 1st Baron Newport of High Ercall and Rachael Leveson.1 He was baptised on 12 March 1619/20 at Wroxester, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He married Lady Diana Russell, daughter of Francis Russell, 4th Earl of Bedford and Hon. Catharine Brydges, on 28 April 1642 at St. Gile's-in-the-Fields Church, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 19 September 1708 at age 88 at Twickenham, London, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 4 October 1708 at Wroxester, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in October 1708.1

Sir Thomas Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 5th Bt. was born on 7 January 1758.1 He was the son of Sir William Moncreiffe of that Ilk, 4th Bt. and Clara Guthrie.1 He married Lady Elisabeth Ramsay, daughter of George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie and Elizabeth Glen, on 13 August 1786.1 He died on 26 March 1818 at age 60.1
He gained the rank of Ensign in 1774 in the 36th Foot.1 He gained the rank of Cornet in 1776 in the 10th Dragoons.1 He was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He gained the title of 5th Baronet Moncreiffe [N.S., 1685] on 28 September 1784.1 In 1791 he was feeble-minded, and so his estate was placed in the hands of guardians.1
