Major Sir John Charles Harford, 1st Bt. was born on 28 July 1860.1 He was the son of John Battersby Harford and Mary Charlotte de Bunsen.2 He married Blanche Amabel Raikes, daughter of Rt. Hon. Henry Cecil Raikes and Charlotte Blanche Trevor-Roper, on 11 April 1893.1 He died on 16 July 1934 at age 73.1
