     Georgina Watson was born on 1 March 1856 at 121 Wellington Street, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Sir John Watson, 1st Bt. and Agnes Simpson.^1,3 She married James Hamilton, 9th Lord Belhaven and Stenton, son of Archibald Hamilton and Mary Clarke, on 30 October 1877.¹ She died on 9 November 1940 at age 84.²
     From 30 October 1877, her married name became Hamilton. After her marriage, Georgina Watson was styled as Baroness Belhaven and Stenton on 30 October 1877.

     Sir John Watson, 1st Bt. was born on 9 July 1819.² He was the son of John Watson and Ann Hendry.³ He married, firstly, Agnes Simpson, daughter of Robert Haig Simpson, on 18 June 1846.² He married, secondly, Harriet Drury Mackenzie, daughter of Peter Mackenzie, on 29 April 1879.² He died on 26 September 1898 at age 79.²
     In 1873 he purchased Earnock House and estate.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.² He was created 1st Baronet Watson, of Earnock and Neilsland, co. Lanark [U.K.] on 15 July 1895.²

     Major Sir Charles Spencer Richard Graham, 6th Bt. was born on 16 July 1919.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Fergus Frederick Graham, 5th Bt. and Mary Spencer Revell Reade.² He married Isabel Susan Anne Surtees, daughter of Major Robert Lambton Surtees and Anne Beck, on 5 February 1944.² He died on 11 July 1997 at age 77.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.² He fought in the Malayan Emergency between 1949 and 1950.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Cumberland in 1955.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland between 1971 and 1983.² He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Graham, of Netherby, Cumberland [G.B., 1783] on 1 August 1978.⁴ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Cumberland between 1983 and 1994.² He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.) in 1984.²
