     Hon. Elizabeth Widdrington was baptised on 30 March 1689.¹ She was the daughter of William Widdrington, 3rd Baron Widdrington and Hon. Alathea Fairfax.¹ She married Marmaduke Langdale, 4th Baron Langdale of Holme, son of Marmaduke Langdale, 3rd Baron Langdale of Holme and Frances Draycott, on 3 August 1706.¹ She died on 7 January 1765 at age 75.¹
     From 3 August 1706, her married name became Langdale.¹

     Hon. Dorothy Langdale was the daughter of Marmaduke Langdale, 4th Baron Langdale of Holme and Hon. Elizabeth Widdrington.¹ She married Sir Walter Vavasour, 5th Bt., son of Peter Vavasour, in April 1741.¹ She died on 25 April 1751.¹
     From April 1741, her married name became Vavasour.¹

     Sarah Bertha W. Clegg was born in 1866 at High Crompton, Lancashire, England.¹ She married Hartley Lees, son of Benjamin Lees and Betsy Hartley, in 1890 at Oldham, Lancashire, England.¹
     From 1890, her married name became Lees.¹

     Doris M. Lees was born in 1893 at Crumpsall, Lancashire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Hartley Lees and Sarah Bertha W. Clegg.¹

     Phyllis B. Lees was born in 1897 at Crumpsall, Lancashire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Hartley Lees and Sarah Bertha W. Clegg.¹

     Betsy Hartley was born in 1838 at Oldham, Lancashire, England.¹ She married Benjamin Lees on 1 December 1858 at St. James Church, Oldham, Lancashire, England.¹
     From 1 December 1858, her married name became Lees.¹

     Annie Lees was born in 1860 at Oldham, Lancashire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Lees and Betsy Hartley.¹

     Edmund Hartley was born in 1817 at Cornwall, England.¹ He married Sophia Baron in 1846 at Plymouth, Devon, England.¹

     Sophia Baron was born in 1825 at Plymouth, Devon, England.¹ She married Edmund Hartley in 1846 at Plymouth, Devon, England.¹
     From 1846, her married name became Hartley.¹

     Surgn.-Maj. Edmund Baron Hartley, V.C. was born on 6 May 1847 at Ermington, Devon, England.¹ He was the son of Edmund Hartley and Sophia Baron.¹ He married Constance Ellen Aldridge, daughter of Walter William Aldridge and Mary Ann Wheaton, in 1874 at Holborn, London, England.¹ He died on 20 March 1919 at age 71.¹
     He fought in the Basuto War in 1879.¹ He gained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the Cape Mounted Rifles.¹ He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.), for rescuing a corporal under heavy fire, for his actions on 5 June 1879.¹ He was Principal Medical Officer of the Colonial Forces.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹
