     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Sutherland Highalnders.¹ He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Major and Squadron Commander in 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Iris Winifred Hanley was born circa 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Malachy McDee Hanley and Margaret McEvoy.^1,2 She married Lord George Heneage Lawrence Dundas, son of Lawrence Dundas, 1st Marquess of Zetland and Lady Lillian Selina Elizabeth Lumley, on 23 December 1905 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 She died on 20 March 1969.¹
     She was also known as Oonah Rose Hanley.² From 23 December 1905, her married name became Dundas.¹

     Colonel Malachy McDee Hanley was born in 1841 at Ireland.² He married, fourthly, Margaret McEvoy at India.² He died on 1 February 1913.²

     Lord Bruce Thomas Dundas was born on 18 October 1920.¹ He was the son of Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, 2nd Marquess of Zetland and Cicely Archdale.¹ He died on 24 February 1942 at age 21, killed on active service.^1,2

     Lady Lavinia Margaret Dundas was born on 31 December 1914.¹ She was the daughter of Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, 2nd Marquess of Zetland and Cicely Archdale.¹ She married, firstly, John Creagh Rogerson, son of John Edwin Rogerson and Frances Mary Creagh, on 19 October 1939.¹ She married, secondly, Jack Green, son of Louis Green, on 20 February 1947.¹ She married, thirdly, Brigadier Francis Wyld Sandars, son of Canon George Russell Sandars, on 10 April 1962.¹ She died on 4 January 1974 at age 59.¹
     From 19 October 1939, her married name became Rogerson.¹ From 20 February 1947, her married name became Green.¹ From 10 April 1962, her married name became Sandars.¹

     John Creagh Rogerson was born in 1894 at Durham, County Durham, England.² He was the son of John Edwin Rogerson and Frances Mary Creagh.^1,2 He married Lady Lavinia Margaret Dundas, daughter of Lawrence John Lumley Dundas, 2nd Marquess of Zetland and Cicely Archdale, on 19 October 1939.¹ He died on 24 October 1945.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th/19th Hussars.¹

     John Edwin Rogerson was born in 1865 at Tynemouth, Northumberland, England.² He was the son of John Rogerson and Sarah Ann Barrass.² He married Frances Mary Creagh in 1892 at Brighton, Sussex, England.²
     He was a civil engineer.² He lived at Mount Oswald, County Durham, England.¹
