     Field Marshal John Denton Pinkstone French, 1st Earl of Ypres was born on 28 September 1852 at Ripple, Kent, England.³ He was the son of Commander John Tracy William French and Margaret Eccles.⁴ He married Eleanora Anna Selby-Lowndes, daughter of Richard William Selby-Lowndes and Mary Susan Fletcher, on 19 August 1880 at Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, England.^5,6 He died on 22 May 1925 at age 72 at Deal Castle, Kent, England.⁷
     He was educated in 1866 at H.M.S.      Jean Follett was born in 1915. She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Gilbert Burrell Spencer Follett and Lady Mildred Murray.¹ She married Victor Henry Peter Brougham, 4th Baron Brougham and Vaux, son of Hon. Henry Brougham and Hon. Diana Isabel Sturt, on 3 June 1935.¹ She and Victor Henry Peter Brougham, 4th Baron Brougham and Vaux were divorced in 1942.¹ She died in 1992.¹
     From 3 June 1935, her married name became Brougham. After her marriage, Jean Follett was styled as Baroness Brougham and Vaux on 3 June 1935.

     Hugo Laurenz August Hofmann von Hofmannsthal was born on 1 February 1874 at Vienna, Austria.² He married Gertrud Schlesinger in 1901.² He died on 15 July 1929 at age 55 at Rodaun, Austria.²

James Michael Heigham Royce Tomkin and Margaret Elinor Bunbury, in 1977.² He died on 23 January 2012 at age 71.³

     From before 1942, her married name became Hart-Davis.¹ From 4 June 1942, her married name became Brougham. After her marriage, Edith Ellaline Teichman was styled as Baroness Brougham and Vaux on 4 June 1942.

     Rachel Gurney Lubbock was born on 5 March 1920.¹ She is the daughter of Samuel Gurney Lubbock and Irene Scharrer.¹ She married Denys Gravenor Rhodes, son of Major Arthur Tahu Gravenor Rhodes and Hon. Helen Cecil Olive Plunket, on 4 August 1945.¹
