Donald Maclaine, 22nd of Lochbuie was born on 26 October 1816.1 He was the son of Murdoch Maclaine, 20th of Lochbuie and Christina Maclean.2 He married Emilie Guillaumine Vincent, daughter of Charles Anthony Vincent, on 23 October 1844.1 He died on 12 October 1863 at age 46.1
