Major Arthur Ogle was born in 1805 at Knoyle, Wiltshire, England.2 He was the son of Reverend John Saville Ogle and Catherine Hannah Sneyd.3 He married Caroline Amelia Lechmere, daughter of Vice-Admiral William Lechmere and Elizabeth Dashwood-King, on 10 September 1844.1 He died in 1878.2

James Moncrieff Melville was born on 28 September 1793 at St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.2 He married, firstly, Augusta Lechmere, daughter of Vice-Admiral William Lechmere and Elizabeth Dashwood-King, in July 1832 at Steeple Ashton, Oxfordshire, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Margaret Lindsay on 13 October 1839 at Corstorphine, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He died on 28 September 1872 at age 79 at Hanley, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3
