     Sir Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany, 4th Bt. was born on 3 January 1774.1 He was the son of Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple of Bargany, 3rd Bt. and Janet Duff.1 He married Hon. Jane Duncan, daughter of Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan of Camperdown and Henrietta Dundas, on 19 May 1800.1 He died on 23 February 1834 at age 60, without issue.1
     He was given the name of Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick at birth.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddingtonshire between 1795 and 1800.1 On 12 February 1796 his name was legally changed to Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple.1 In February 1800 his name was legally changed to Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dalrymple, of North Berwick, co. Haddington [N.S., 1698] on 13 February 1800.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire between 1803 and 1807.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire between 1811 and 1818.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington Burghs between 1820 and 1826.1

     Hon. Jane Duncan was the daughter of Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan of Camperdown and Henrietta Dundas.1 She married Sir Hew Dalrymple-Hamilton of Bargany, 4th Bt., son of Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple of Bargany, 3rd Bt. and Janet Duff, on 19 May 1800.1 She died on 7 March 1852.1
     From 19 May 1800, her married name became Dalrymple-Hamilton.1

     Mary Christina Naesmyth was baptised on 19 May 1797 at Drumelzier, Peebles-shire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir James Naesmyth of Posso, 3rd Bt. and Eleanor Murray.1 She married James Hamilton-Dalrymple, son of Sir Hew Hamilton-Dalrymple of Bargany, 3rd Bt. and Janet Duff, on 7 June 1815 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2
     From 7 June 1815, her married name became Hamilton-Dalrymple.1

Sir James Naesmyth of Posso, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir James Naesmyth of Posso, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir James Naesmyth of Posso, 2nd Bt. and Jean Keith.2 He married Eleanor Murray on 23 April 1785 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He married Harriet Jones on 13 July 1828 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He died on 4 December 1829.2
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Naesmyth, of Posso [N.S., 1706] on 4 February 1779.

Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 6th Bt.1

     Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 6th Bt. was born on 21 November 1814.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Dalrymple of North Berwick, 5th Bt. and Charlotte Warrender.1 He married Frances Elizabeth Arkwright, daughter of Robert Arkwright and Frances Crawford Kemble, on 27 July 1852.1 He died on 27 April 1887 at age 72, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Dalrymple, of North Berwick, co. Haddington [N.S., 1698] on 26 May 1835.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1847 and 1852 in the 71st Foot.1 He was Convenor of Haddington in 1861.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     From 27 July 1852, her married name became Dalrymple.1
