     Massey Henry Edgecumbe Lopes, 2nd Baron Roborough was born on 4 October 1903.³ He was the son of Henry Yarde-Buller Lopes, 1st Baron Roborough and Lady Alberta Louise Florence Edgcumbe.¹ He married Helen Dawson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward Alfred Finch Dawson, on 15 October 1936.³ He died in July 1992 at age 88 at Tavistock, Devon, England.^3,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.³ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief, South Africa between 1936 and 1937.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Roborough, of Maristow, co. Devon [U.K., 1938] on 14 April 1938.⁴ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lopes [U.K., 1805] on 14 April 1938.⁴ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.³ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Scots Guards.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1946.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon in 1951.³ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Devon between 1951 and 1958.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Devon between 1958 and 1978.³ He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)³

     Charles I de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf was born in 1556. He was the son of René de Guise, Duc de Lorraine-Elboeuf and Louise d'Harcourt. He married Marguerite de Chabot de Charmy. He died in 1605.
     He gained the title of Duc de Elboeuf.¹

     Marguerite de Chabot de Charmy was born in 1565. She married Charles I de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf, son of René de Guise, Duc de Lorraine-Elboeuf and Louise d'Harcourt. She died in 1652.

     Charles II de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf was born on 5 November 1596.¹ He was the son of Charles I de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf and Marguerite de Chabot de Charmy.¹ He married Catherine Henriette de Bourbon, daughter of Henri IV, Roi de France and Gabrielle d'Estrées, Duchesse de Beaufort, on 20 February 1619.¹ He died on 5 November 1657 at age 61.¹
     He gained the title of Duc de Elboeuf.¹
