Reverend William Percy Powys was born on 25 April 1838.2 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Horatio Powys and Percy Gore Currie.2 He married Mary Kathleen Stopford, daughter of Reverend Frederick Manners Stopford and Florence Augusta Saunders, on 7 October 1890.1 He died on 19 January 1918 at age 79.2
