     Anna Pringle is the daughter of George Pringle of Torwoodlee.² She married Sir Alexander Don, son of Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 1st Bt. and Isabella Smith of Duns.¹
     Her married name became Don.

     Patrick Don is the son of Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 1st Bt. and Isabella Smith of Duns.² He married Anne Wauchope, daughter of John Wauchope, Lord Edmonstone and Anna Rait, on 26 June 1683.¹
     Advocate.¹ He lived at Aldtouneburn, Scotland^G.¹

     John Wauchope, Lord Edmonstone was baptised in 1633.¹ He was the son of Sir John Wauchope of Niddrie and Anne Hamilton of Redhouse.² He married Anna Rait, daughter of James Rait of Edmonstone and Anna Hay.¹ He died in 1709.¹
     In 1633 King Charles I was present at his baptism, who took from his neck and put round that of the child a gold and enamel chain, which remained in the family till Oct 1931 when they presented it to Edinburgh Corporation, who placed it in the City Museum, Canonga.¹ He lived on 9 June 1671 he had confirmatory charter of Emondstone.¹ He held the office of Lord of Session in 1672.¹ He was styled as Lord Edmonstone [Scottish Law Lord] between 1672 and 1688.¹

     Anne Wauchope is the daughter of John Wauchope, Lord Edmonstone and Anna Rait.² She married Patrick Don, son of Sir Alexander Don of Newton Don, 1st Bt. and Isabella Smith of Duns, on 26 June 1683.¹
     From 26 June 1683, her married name became Don.

     James Wauchope of Edmonstone is the son of Patrick Don and Anne Wauchope.² He married Christian Inglis, daughter of Sir John Inglis of Cramond, 2nd Bt. and Anne Cockburn, in 1733.¹
     He was given the name of James Don at birth.

     Sir John Inglis of Cramond, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 23 September 1683 at Cramond, Midlothian, Scotland.³ He was the son of Sir James Inglis of Cramond, 1st Bt. and Anne Houstoun.⁴ He married Anne Cockburn, daughter of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton. He died on 3 March 1771 at age 87.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Inglis, of Cramond [N.S., 1687] on 6 December 1688.

     Christian Inglis is the daughter of Sir John Inglis of Cramond, 2nd Bt. and Anne Cockburn.² She married James Wauchope of Edmonstone, son of Patrick Don and Anne Wauchope, in 1733.¹
     From 1733, her married name became Don.

     John Wauchope was born in 1742.¹ He was the son of James Wauchope of Edmonstone and Christian Inglis.² He married Anne Margaret Erskine, daughter of John Erskine of Dunard, in 1766.¹ He died in 1810.¹

     Anne Margaret Erskine was the daughter of John Erskine of Dunard.² She married John Wauchope, son of James Wauchope of Edmonstone and Christian Inglis, in 1766.¹ She died in 1811.¹
     From 1766, her married name became Wauchope.
