     Lady Diana Legge was born on 14 November 1910.² She was the daughter of William Legge, 7th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Ruperta Wynn-Carington.¹ She married, firstly, Major Hon. John Hamilton-Russell, son of Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne and Lady Margaret Selina Lascelles, on 27 September 1937.¹ She married, secondly, Brigadier Adrian Lewis Matthews, son of Major Barbran Henry Matthews, on 1 June 1946.¹ She died on 25 February 1970 at age 59.¹
     From 27 September 1937, her married name became Hamilton-Russell. From 1 June 1946, her married name became Matthews. She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1965.¹

     Brigadier Adrian Lewis Matthews was the son of Major Barbran Henry Matthews.¹ He married Lady Diana Legge, daughter of William Legge, 7th Earl of Dartmouth and Lady Ruperta Wynn-Carington, on 1 June 1946.¹ He died on 28 October 1976.²
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.¹

     James Gustavus Hamilton-Russell was born on 11 September 1938.¹ He is the son of Major Hon. John Hamilton-Russell and Lady Diana Legge.¹ He married Alison Mary Heard, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sydney Haydn Heard, on 30 October 1965.¹

     Hon. Michael Gustavus Hamilton-Russell was born on 26 October 1912.¹ He was the son of Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne and Lady Margaret Selina Lascelles.¹ He died on 20 November 1918 at age 6.¹

     Captian Hon. Desmond Claud Hamilton-Russell was born on 11 August 1917.¹ He was the son of Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, 9th Viscount Boyne and Lady Margaret Selina Lascelles.¹ He died on 19 April 1943 at age 25 at Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Dragoons.¹ He fought in the Second World War.

     Reverend John Lomax Gibbs was born on 28 March 1832.¹ He was the son of George Henry Gibbs and Caroline Crawley.¹ He married Isabel Marianne Bright, daughter of Robert Bright and Caroline Tyndall, on 3 January 1860.¹ He died on 12 January 1914 at age 81.¹

     Mary Dorothea Gibbs was born on 4 May 1833.¹ She was the daughter of George Henry Gibbs and Caroline Crawley.¹ She married George Edward Cokayne, son of William Adams and Hon. Mary Anne Cokayne, on 2 December 1856.¹ She died on 11 March 1906 at age 72.¹
     From 2 December 1856, her married name became Adams. From 15 August 1873, her married name became Cokayne.¹

     George Edward Cokayne was born on 29 April 1825.¹ He was the son of William Adams and Hon. Mary Anne Cokayne.¹ He married Mary Dorothea Gibbs, daughter of George Henry Gibbs and Caroline Crawley, on 2 December 1856.³ He died on 6 August 1911 at age 86.³
     He was given the name of George Edward Adams at birth.¹ He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)⁴ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn entitled to practise as a barrister.^3,4 He held the office of Rouge Dragon Pursuivant in 1859.⁴ He held the office of Lancaster Herald in 1870.⁴ On 15 August 1873 his name was legally changed to George Edward Cokayne by Royal Licence under the terms of his mother's will.^1,3 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)³ He held the office of Norroy King of Arms in 1882.⁴ He wrote the book The Complete Peerage, 1st edition, published between 1887 and 1898.¹ He held the office of Clarenceux King of Arms in 1894.³ He lived at Exeter House, Roehampton, Surrey, England^G.⁴ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.⁵
     

     William Adams married, secondly, Hon. Mary Anne Cokayne, daughter of Hon. William Cokayne and Barbara Hill, on 6 April 1811.² He died on 11 June 1851.²
