     Her married name became Beresford.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir George de la Poer Beresford was born on 21 July 1885.2 He was the son of Henry Tristram de la Poer Beresford and Louisa Margaret Coventry.2 He married Margaret Ethel Granville Thynne, daughter of Reverend Arthur Christopher Thynne and Gwenllian Elizabeth Fanny Isabel Kendall, on 15 November 1916.1 He died on 29 September 1964 at age 79.3
     He fought in the First World War.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Order of the Nile 3rd Class.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier and Brigade Commander in 1935.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1938.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1938 in the Indian Army.1 He was Deputy Adjutant and Quartermaster-General of the Northern Command, India between 1938 and 1940.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was District Commander of the Northern Command, India in 1940.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1949.2

     Margaret Ethel Granville Thynne was born on 9 October 1883.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Arthur Christopher Thynne and Gwenllian Elizabeth Fanny Isabel Kendall.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir George de la Poer Beresford, son of Henry Tristram de la Poer Beresford and Louisa Margaret Coventry, on 15 November 1916.1 She died on 30 December 1963 at age 80.1
     Her married name became Beresford.
