Elizabeth Simpson was the daughter of Lightly Simpson.2 She married Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt., son of Charles Makins and Frances Kirkby, on 3 June 1861.1 She died on 3 November 1911.1

William Henry Makins was born on 6 December 1863.1 He was the son of Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Simpson.2 He married Mary Agnes Young, daughter of Sir Charles Lawrence Young, 7th Bt. and Mary Florence Toulmin, on 19 August 1886.1 He died on 1 December 1889 at age 25.1

Mary Agnes Young was born on 18 September 1868.2 She was the daughter of Sir Charles Lawrence Young, 7th Bt. and Mary Florence Toulmin.3 She married, firstly, William Henry Makins, son of Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Simpson, on 19 August 1886.1 She married, secondly, Warine Martindale, son of Colonel Ben Hay Martindale, on 18 March 1891.1 She died on 18 July 1915 at age 46.2
