     Hon. Isabella Gore was born between 1786 and 1799.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood.1 She married Reverend Hon. Charles Sholto Douglas, son of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles, on 2 March 1816.1 She died on 30 November 1838.1
     From 2 March 1816, her married name became Douglas.1

     John Stanhope was the son of Sir John Stanhope and Mary Radclyffe.1 He married Jane Curzon, daughter of Sir John Curzon, 1st Bt. and Patience Crewe.1 He died on 26 March 1662.1

     Lady Margaret Campbell was the daughter of Archibald Campbell, 4th Earl of Argyll and Lady Margaret Graham.1 She married James Stewart, 1st Lord Doune, son of Sir James Stewart of Beath and Margaret Lindsay, on 11 January 1563/64.1 She died in February 1571/72, of injuries in a fire.1
     From 11 January 1563/64, her married name became Stuart.

     Reverend Hon. Charles Sholto Douglas was born on 10 March 1791.2 He was the son of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Isabella Gore, daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood, on 2 March 1816.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Julia Rich, daughter of Captain John S. Rich, on 28 December 1852.3 He died in 1857.4
     On 28 August 1835 he was granted the rank of an earl's younger son.3 He was the Rector at Donagheady, Ireland.5

     Frances Watkins was the daughter of Reverend Henry Watkins.1 She married, firstly, Henry Campion, son of William Campion, before 1838.1 She married, secondly, Sir Fitzroy Jeffreys Grafton Maclean, 8th Bt., son of Donald Maclean and Margaret Wall, on 17 September 1838.1 She died on 12 June 1843.1
     From before 1838, her married name became Campion.1 From 17 September 1838, her married name became Maclean.2

     Hon. Julia Gore was born circa 1800.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood.1 She married Robert Manners Lockwood, son of Thomas Lockwood and Charlotte Manners-Sutton, on 23 December 1821 at Rome, Italy.1 She and Robert Manners Lockwood were divorced circa 1842.2 She died on 21 August 1891.1
     From 23 December 1821, her married name became Lockwood.1

     Robert Manners Lockwood was the son of Thomas Lockwood and Charlotte Manners-Sutton.2 He married Hon. Julia Gore, daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood, on 23 December 1821 at Rome, Italy.1 He and Hon. Julia Gore were divorced circa 1842.3 He died on 28 November 1865.2
     He was educated between 1807 and 1809 at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1813 in the 52nd Foot.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1814.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1816 in the Rifle Brigade.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1818 in the 89th Foot.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1821 in the 22nd Foot.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1822 in the 80th Foot.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1822 in the Portuguese and Spanish Armies.2 He retired from the military in 1833.2

     Lady Janet Cunningham was the daughter of Alexander Cuninghame, 5th Earl of Glencairn and Janet Cuninghame.2 She married by contract, firstly, Archibald Campbell, 5th Earl of Argyll, son of Archibald Campbell, 4th Earl of Argyll and Lady Helen Hamilton, on 5 August 1573.1 She married, secondly, Sir Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss, son of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss and Agnes Boyd, in 1583.2 She died in 1584, without issue.2
     After her marriage, Lady Janet Cunningham was styled as Countess of Argyll on 5 August 1573. From 5 August 1573, her married name became Campbell. From 1583, her married name became Colquhoun.

     Alexander Cuninghame, 5th Earl of Glencairn was born in 1515. He was the son of William Cuninghame, 4th Earl of Glencairn and Catherine Borthwick.2 He married, firstly, Lady Janet Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran and Janet Bethune, on 26 November 1526.3 He and Lady Janet Hamilton were divorced in 1545.3 He married, secondly, Janet Cuninghame, daughter of Sir John Cuninghame, 4th of Caprington and Annabella Campbell, circa 22 January 1549/50.3 He died on 23 December 1574.3
     Alexander Cuninghame, 5th Earl of Glencairn also went by the nick-name of 'the Good Earl'.4 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Glencairn [S., 1488] in March 1547/48.3 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Kilmaurs [S., 1464] in March 1547/48.3 He was an enthusiastic Presbyterian during the Reformation, smashing altars and supposedly idolatrous objects in Holyrood Chapel.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1561.3 He fought in the Battles of Carberry Hill in 1567.3 He held the office of Joint Lieutenant of the West of Scotland.3
He fought in the Battle of Langside in 1568.3 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.5

     Sir Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss was born in 1565.2 He was the son of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss and Agnes Boyd.3 He married, firstly, Lady Janet Cunningham, daughter of Alexander Cuninghame, 5th Earl of Glencairn and Janet Cuninghame, in 1583.1 He married, secondly, Lady Jean Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Hamilton and Margaret Lyon, in 1585/86.2 He died in 1592 at Castle of Bannachra, ScotlandG, killed.2
     He lived at Luss, Argyllshire, ScotlandG.1 He feuded with the Macfarlanes and MacGregors.2 He had two other daughters by his second wife.2
