     Florence Selina Brooke was the daughter of George Augustus Frederick Brooke and Lady Arabella Georgina Hastings.1 She married Major William James Hall, son of Reverend Savage Hall and Anne O'Brien, on 28 March 1875.1 She died on 25 March 1915.1
     From 28 March 1875, her married name became Hall.1

     Sir Harry Vesey Brooke was born on 23 September 1845.1 He was the son of Sir Arthur Brinsley Brooke, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Julia Henrietta Anson.1 He married Patricia Moir-Byres, daughter of James Gregory Moir-Byres and Mary Hensleigh, on 9 December 1879.1 He died on 11 June 1921 at age 75.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 92nd Gordon Highlanders.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1920.1 He lived at Fairley, Countesswells, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1

     James Gregory Moir-Byres was born on 17 November 1804 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2,3 He was the son of John Moir and Katherine Byres.2,3 He married Mary Hensleigh, daughter of Henry Prideaux Hensleigh and Mary Norrington, in 1858.2 He died on 6 November 1881 at age 76.2
     He lived at Tonley, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.1

     Captain James Anson Otho Brooke, V.C. was born on 3 February 1884 at Newhills, ScotlandG.1,2 He was the son of Sir Harry Vesey Brooke and Patricia Moir-Byres.1 He died on 29 October 1914 at age 30 at Ypres, BelgiumG, killed in action.1 He was buried at Zantvoorde British Cemetery, BelgiumG.2
     He fought in the First World War.1 He fought in the First Battle of Ypres.3 He gained the rank of Captain in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 18 February 1915, posthumously, for his actions on 29 October1914. "At Fayet, while carrying a message from his colonel, he noticed that the Germans were breaking through part of the line. He immediately gathered 100 men around him and led them in a charge against the advancing Germans, saving the situation and a huge number of British lives. He was shot dead during the action."1,3

     Colonel Arthur Brooke was born on 13 February 1886.1 He was the son of Sir Harry Vesey Brooke and Patricia Moir-Byres.1 He married Aimée Isabella White, daughter of Richard Charles Brooman White, on 15 July 1913.1 He died on 13 April 1952 at age 66.1
     He was awarded the Durbar Medal in 1911.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Indian Army.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1
