Sir Henry Hawley, 1st Bt. was born on 12 November 1745.2 He was the son of James Hawley and Elizabeth Banks.3 He married, firstly, Dorothy Ashwood, daughter of John Ashwood, on 10 August 1770.2 He married, secondly, Anne Humphreys, daughter of William Humphreys, on 5 September 1785.2 He died on 20 January 1826 at age 80.2
He was created 1st Baronet Hawley, of Leybourne Grange, co. Kent [Great Britain] on 14 May 1795.1
