     Captain John Tyrwhitt was baptised on 15 July 1737.1 He was the son of Reverend Robert Tyrwhitt and Elizabeth Gibson.1 He married Katherine Booth, daughter of Very Rev. Penyston Booth, on 28 October 1764.1 He died on 11 June 1812 at age 74.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Netherby House, Somerset, EnglandG.1
     He had two younger sons.1

     Katherine Booth was the daughter of Very Rev. Penyston Booth.1 She married Captain John Tyrwhitt, son of Reverend Robert Tyrwhitt and Elizabeth Gibson, on 28 October 1764.1 She died on 4 December 1800.1
     From 28 October 1764, her married name became Tyrwhitt.1

Very Rev. Penyston Booth1

     Very Rev. Penyston Booth was born in 1679.2 He was the son of Thomas Booth and Elizabeth Middlemore.3 He died in 1765.2
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Dean of Windsor.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4

     Sir Thomas Tyrwhitt-Jones, 1st Bt. was born on 1 September 1765.1 He was the son of Captain John Tyrwhitt and Katherine Booth.1 He married Harriet Rebecca Williams, daughter of Edward Williams, on 25 April 1791.1 He died on 24 November 1811 at age 46.1
     He was given the name of Thomas Tyrwhitt at birth.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Weymouth between 1790 and 1791.1 On 3 March 1790 his name was legally changed to Thomas Tyrwhitt-Jones by Royal Licence.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Denbigh between 1797 and 1802.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Athlone between 1802 and 1806.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shrewsbury.1 He was created 1st Baronet Tyrwhitt-Jones, of Stanley Hall, Shropshire [U.K.] on 2 October 1808.1

     Harriet Rebecca Williams was the daughter of Edward Williams.1 She married Sir Thomas Tyrwhitt-Jones, 1st Bt., son of Captain John Tyrwhitt and Katherine Booth, on 25 April 1791.1 She died on 24 July 1824.1
     From 25 April 1791, her married name became Tyrwhitt-Jones.1

     Charles Tyrwhitt-Jones was born in 1801.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Tyrwhitt-Jones, 1st Bt. and Harriet Rebecca Williams.1 He married Emily Halliday, daughter of Admiral John Richard Delap Tollemache and Lady Elizabeth Stratford, on 28 November 1819.2 He died in July 1876.2
