- Larry David Norman (April 8, 1947 – February 24, 2008) was an American musician, singer, songwriter, record label owner, and record producer. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of Christian rock music, and released more than 100 albums.
- DeGarmo & Key was a Christian Rock group that started professionally in 1978. The primary members were Eddie DeGarmo and Dana Key. Eddie played keyboards and sang background vocals, while Dana played lead guitar and did the majority of the lead vocals. Other members included Tommy Cathey on bass and Greg Morrow on drums. The group's music was of the pop and rock genres. Their best known songs are: Destined to Win; Let the Whole World Sing; Six, Six, Six; Boycott Hell; Every Moment; and Casual Christian. Also most noted for their 1986 album "Streetlight", their 1987 album D&K, and their 1989 album "The Pledge". - Michael Harrison Sweet (born July 4, 1963) is a singer and guitarist from Whittier, California; he is the co-founder, writer, lead guitarist, lead singer and front man of the Christian metal band Stryper. He was also singer and guitarist for Boston from 2007 to 2011.
- The Orange County Supertones (a.k.a. The O.C. Supertones, or simply The Supertones) were a Christian ska band from Orange County, California. The band was signed to Tooth & Nail Records and its imprint, BEC Recordings, before becoming an independent band. The band temporarily disbanded in 2005, though reunited in 2010 to resume touring and recording before permanently disbanding in 2017. The OC Supertones were one of the first widely successful Christian ska bands.
British band Delirious? was a groundbreaking force in the Christian rock and worship scene throughout the '90s and 2000s. With powerful anthems and dynamic performances, the band captured the hearts of listeners and helped pave the way for countless other artists in the genre. Though they disbanded in 2009, Delirious?'s impact on contemporary worship music is still felt today.
- John Landrum Cooper (born April 7, 1975), professionally credited as John L. Cooper, is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He has been the lead vocalist, bassist and co-founder of the Grammy-nominated American Christian rock band Skillet since 1996 and his side project Fight the Fury since 2018.
- Wolves at the Gate also known as WATG is a Christian metal and post-hardcore band from Cedarville, Ohio, United States. Formed in 2009, they're currently signed to Solid State Records, where the band released two EPs: We Are the Ones and Back to School, two full-length albums: Captors and VxV, and a Christmas single entitled "The King" in 2012.
- Holy Soldier is a Christian hard rock band from Los Angeles, California.
- Rebecca Jean Fink (née Smallbone; born 26 July 1977), known professionally as Rebecca Jean or Rebecca St. James, is an Australian Christian pop rock singer-songwriter and actress. She began performing in Australia in the late 1980s and released her first full-length studio album in 1991. She was signed to ForeFront Records in 1993, releasing her major label debut the following year. St. James rose to fame in the late 1990s with her RIAA certified Gold albums God and Pray, the latter of which won a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Rock Gospel Album, and her holiday album Christmas. The albums spawned multiple singles, including "God", "Go and Sin No More Since", and "Pray". Since then she has established herself as one of the most prominent musical artists in Contemporary Christian music (CCM), with four additional full-length studio albums: Transform, Worship God, If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something and I Will Praise You. Staple songs such as "Wait for Me", "Reborn", "Song of Love", "Alive", and "Shine Your Glory Down", have all been derived from these releases. She has sold two million albums since starting her career.St. James is also an accomplished author and actress. To date, she has released more than a dozen published books and appeared in eight films (including lead roles in Sarah's Choice and A Strange Brand of Happy), a musical stage show, and a VeggieTales episode ("An Easter Carol"). She is also an outspoken sexual abstinence and pro-life advocate, a spokesperson for Compassion International, the sister of Joel and Luke Smallbone, who comprise the band For King & Country, and the wife of Foster the People's former bassist Jacob "Cubbie" Fink.
- 69Kansas is an American rock band that became popular in the 1970s initially on album-oriented rock charts and later with hit singles such as "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind". The band has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums, one platinum live album and a million-selling single, "Dust in the Wind". Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the 1970s and 1980s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. "Carry On Wayward Son" was the second-most-played track on classic rock radio in 1995 and No. 1 in 1997.
- Brittany Nicole Waddell (born August 2, 1985), better known by her stage name Britt Nicole, is an American vocalist, songwriter and recording artist. She has mainly charted as a Christian pop artist, but in 2012 found her debut mainstream single, "Gold", and, in 2013, "Ready or Not", in the Mainstream Top 40. The album was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 55th Grammy Awards. She is signed to Sparrow and Capitol Records.
- Altar Boys were a Christian punk rock band from California, formed in 1982. They are Mike Stand, Jeff Crandall, Steve Pannier, Mark Robertson, and Ric Alba.
- Theocracy is a Christian progressive power metal band founded in 2002 by Matt Smith of Athens, Georgia. The group originally started out as a one man project and all the instruments and vocals done on the debut album Theocracy were performed by Smith. The current lineup includes Smith along with Patrick Nickell, Jonathan Hinds, Jared Oldham, and Val Allen Wood. Musically, the band mixes the power metal style of Edguy, Iced Earth, and Helloween with progressive influences from bands such as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Kansas and Rush. The group performed at the ProgPower USA VII festival Pre-Party in Atlanta, Georgia. Live performances from the show of the songs "The Serpent's Kiss" and "Mountain" were included on the ProgPower VII DVD. Their second album, Mirror of Souls, was released on Sweden's Ulterium Records and features cover artwork by Robert G. Wilson, Jr. A song, "On Eagles Wings", which is on that album, can be heard on the bands official MySpace page. Mirror of Souls was released on November 26, 2008 in Japan by Soundholic Records. The Japanese version contains the bonus track "Wages of Sin". The North American edition was released December 9, 2008.
- Barren Cross is a Christian metal band that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983 by high school friends Ray Parris and Steve Whitaker. The band released six albums from 1986 to 1994. They have reunited for a few shows in recent years, and plan to record a new album. By 1984, bassist Jim LaVerde and vocalist Mike Lee were added. In 1989, the band appeared on The Morton Downey Show alongside members of KISS and Anthrax. In 1990, Mike Lee left and joined the band Bare Bones but would appear on the Barren Cross' later releases.
- FM Static is a Canadian Christian pop punk duo based in Toronto, Ontario. The band was formed in 2003 as a side project for Thousand Foot Krutch members Trevor McNevan and Steve Augustine. The original lineup included John Bunner on guitar and Justin Smith on bass. As of 2013, the band has released four studio albums, most recently My Brain Says Stop, But My Heart Says Go!.
- Michael DeWayne Tait (born May 18, 1966) is a contemporary Christian music artist. Michael Tait met Toby McKeehan in 1984 when he was in high school. Both Toby and Michael met Kevin Max while attending Liberty University in the late 1980s, and together they formed four-time Grammy winning band DC Talk, with whom Michael Tait has released five acclaimed studio albums. Tait is the current lead singer of Newsboys, and one third of Christian rock group DC Talk (though the group has been on hiatus since 2000). Tait also has had success in his solo career, founding a band called Tait in 1997. He toured as a solo act until 2007. He became lead singer of the Christian pop rock band Newsboys in 2009, and though Peter Furler was the lead vocalist on the album In the Hands of God, Tait provided supporting vocals on the project. Aside from singing, Tait is also a self-taught guitar player. Tait also has a sister Lynda Randle, who is a Southern Gospel singer.
- Remedy Drive is an Alternative rock band founded in 1998 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They are currently located out of Nashville, Tennessee. The band is currently composed of lead vocalist and guitarist David Zach, bassist Corey Horn, and drummer Tim Buell. They have recorded eight studio albums, one independent live album, two EPs, and will release their ninth studio album, Commodity, on September 23, 2014. The band was originally founded as a quartet consisting of the four Zach brothers. Three of the four brothers left the band in early 2010.
- Jerusalem is a Swedish Christian rock band, founded in 1975 by Ulf Christiansson. It was one of the first bands to combine Christian lyrics with a hard rock and heavy metal sound.
- Matthew Guion Maher (born November 10, 1974) is a Canadian contemporary Christian music (CCM) artist, songwriter, and worship leader from Newfoundland, Canada, who lives in the United States. He has written and produced nine solo albums to date. Three of his albums have reached the Top 25 Christian Albums Billboard chart and four of his singles have reached the Top 25 Christian Songs chart. He is a practicing Catholic. Maher has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards in his career and was awarded the Songwriter of the Year for an artist, at the 2015 GMA Dove Awards.

- Sweet Comfort Band was an American Christian rock band that first performed in 1973 in Riverside, California, and were active until 1984. The band was initially composed of keyboardist/lead vocalist, Bryan Duncan, and brothers Kevin and Rick Thomson. The band was the brainchild of the Thomson brothers. Randy Thomas, guitarist/vocalist joined the group around 1976. After their second album, Sweet Comfort Band also became well known for their highly detailed, airbrushed album cover art by Kernie Erickson, a trend that had previously been considered too costly for Christian groups who did not produce the high-volume album sales of mainstream bands such as Kansas. The Sweet Comfort Band logo was created by Rick Griffin. Sweet Comfort Band was a late entry into Jesus music with their 1977 self-titled release on Maranatha! Records. When they started, they had a funky, jazzy, R&B and 70's rock sound. This set them apart from many of the bands in the nascent Contemporary Christian music industry who were primarily performing folk-rock and soft rock. Few bands had the musicianship displayed by this quartet. However, Maranatha!
- Manic Drive is a Canadian Christian rock band, formed in 2004 by brothers Michael and Shawn Cavallo. The Cavallos - who began singing at the early ages of eight and nine - always knew music was in their future. After receiving interest from a record label, they released Reason for Motion in May 2005. Over the last several years, the band has released a variety of albums including, Reset and Rewind, Blue, Epic, and VIP.
- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is an American rock band that was formed in Middleburg, Florida, in 2003. The band is best known for their 2006 single "Face Down" from their major-label release Don't You Fake It and has released five studio albums to date. The current members are Ronnie Winter (vocalist), Joey Westwood (bassist), Josh Burke (lead guitar), Randy Winter (rhythm guitar) and John Espy (drums).

- Stellar Kart is a pop punk band from Phoenix, Arizona signed to Inpop Records and Capitol Records. The band released their first album, All Gas. No Brake, in February 2005. Most of their singles have been accepted exclusively on Christian radio stations such as Air 1. Their song "Me and Jesus" from their 2006 album "We Can't Stand Sitting Down" hit No. 1 for 7 weeks on the Hot Christian Songs chart and won the 2007 Dove Award for "Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song". Their song "Something Holy" from their 2010 album "Everything Is Different Now", an album which adopts a more "worshipful" flavor charted at No. 23 on Billboard Magazine for eighteen weeks. Their latest full-length album, "All In", was released on August 27, 2013. The band released an EP of covers of songs from the 2013 film Frozen, on April 15, 2014.

- Sent by Ravens is a Christian post-hardcore band from Hartsville, South Carolina. Their debut EP was released in 2007, and they have since released a following EP and two full-length albums. They take their name from 1 Kings 17:6, a verse which references Elijah receiving bread and meat from ravens while in the wilderness.
- Matthew Ward (born February 15, 1958) is one of the pioneers of the Jesus music genre, later to be called contemporary Christian music. He is best known as a member of the trio 2nd Chapter of Acts, in which he sang and performed with his sisters Annie Herring and Nellie (Ward) Greisen. During his musical career with the 2nd Chapter of Acts from 1973 to 1988, he also recorded solo albums.
- Three Days Grace are a Canadian rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1997. The band's original iteration was called "Groundswell" and played in various local Norwood back-yard parties and area establishments from 1993 to 1996. Based in Toronto, the band's original line-up consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band's lead guitarist, making them a four-member band. In 2013, Gontier left the band and was replaced by My Darkest Days' vocalist Matt Walst, who is also the younger brother of Brad Walst. Currently signed to RCA Records, they have released six studio albums, each at three-year intervals: Three Days Grace in 2003, One-X in 2006, Life Starts Now in 2009, Transit of Venus in 2012, Human in 2015, and Outsider in 2018. Their upcoming seventh studio album Explosions is due to be released on May 6, 2022.

- Icon for Hire is an American rock band from Decatur, Illinois. Formed in 2007, the band's current lineup consists of singer Ariel, guitarist Shawn Jump, bassist Josh Kincheloe, and drummer Adam Kronshagen. They released two EPs independently before signing to Tooth & Nail Records, through which they released their two Billboard-charting albums Scripted in 2011 and Icon for Hire on October 15, 2013. Bassist Josh Kincheloe has played with the band since 2011, but is not actively recognized as an official member for reasons unknown.

- Philip David Wickham (born April 5, 1984) is a Contemporary Christian musician, singer and songwriter from San Diego, California. Wickham has released nine albums, Give You My World in 2003, a self-titled album in 2006, Cannons in 2007, Singalong in 2008, Heaven & Earth in 2009, Response in 2011, and Singalong 2 in 2012, The Ascension in 2013, Sing-A-Long 3 in 2015, and Children of God in 2016, Living Hope in 2018. He has also led worship at Soul Survivor. His critically acclaimed single "This is Amazing Grace" became RIAA certified Gold and topped the 2014 year-end Christian Airplay chart.
- The Prayer Chain was a 1990s Christian alternative rock band. The band has been called "the epitome of the Christian underground". The Prayer Chain was known for producing moody, angst-ridden music which was, in turn, the result of creative differences within the band and with their record label.
- The Imperials are an American Christian music group that has been active for over 55 years. Originating as a southern gospel quartet, the innovative group would become pioneers of contemporary Christian music in the 1960s. There have been many changes for the band in membership and musical styles over the years. They would go on to win four Grammys, 15 Dove Awards and be inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
- Smalltown Poets is a Christian rock band formed in 1996. It was formed in Tifton, Georgia by high school friends Michael Johnston, Danny Stephens, and Byron Goggin, along with Nashville musicians Kevin Breuner, and Miguel DeJesus. The band started under the name Villanelle.
- 101Emery is an American post-hardcore band from Seattle, Washington currently signed to BadChristian Music. Emery was founded in Rock Hill, South Carolina by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green and Seth Studley, and moved to Seattle in order to reach a more music centered scene. Before signing with Tooth & Nail Records, Emery recorded two EPs, The Columbus EEP Thee and The Weak's End demo that they used to attract attention from labels. With Tooth & Nail, they have recorded five studio albums, and two EPs. The Weak's End, their debut album, was released in 2004, followed by The Question in 2005 and I'm Only A Man in 2007. The latter fulfilled Emery's contract with Tooth & Nail. However, the band re-signed with the label and released ...In Shallow Seas We Sail on June 2, 2009. The band's most recent album, We Do What We Want, was released on March 29, 2011. A new album titled You Were Never Alone is set to be released on May 19, 2015 via BadChristian Music.

The band consists of vocalist Aaron Weiss, guitarists Michael Weiss and Brandon Beaver, bassist Greg Jehanian and drummer Rickie Mazzotta. The band's music is generally dominated by spoken-word vocals and free-ranging drums, bass, and guitar. Occasionally the band has been known to play under the name "Thief, Steal Me a Peach", a reference to Sunny Day Real Estate's 1993 release of the same name. This moniker is generally used for smaller, secret shows in their home town of Philadelphia.
- Rush of Fools is a Christian rock/contemporary Christian music band from Alabama, U.S. They are known for their 2007 hit single "Undo", co-written with producer Scott Davis, which was the most played song of 2007 on Adult Contemporary Christian Music radio stations according to R&R magazine. It was the No. 1 Christian song for five consecutive weeks from June 4 to July 2, 2007 on 20 The Countdown Magazine's charts. Their second single "When Our Hearts Sing" was the seventh most played song of 2007. The band's name was taken from the Biblical passage, 1 Corinthians 1:26-31. The band's second album, Wonder of the World, was released on September 16, 2008. It features their hit song "Lose it All". For their third album, the band changed to the record label eOne Christian Music. The album is titled We Once Were and was released on September 27, 2011. The lead single, "Grace Found Me" was released June 24, 2011.
- 104The Waiting is a Christian alternative pop rock band, consisting of Brad Olsen, Todd Olsen, Clark Leake, and Brandon Thompson. Since the members focus time on other aspects of their lives and take their time recording the band does not produce and perform as frequently as some other bands. Early albums by "The Waiting" were guitar driven alternative rock that drew fans with clever songwriting and introspective lyrics that stood out from most Christian rock of the day. The band's later albums moved towards a more polished pop sound. In August 2003, The Waiting hit the stage in Georgia where they played a sold out show after which they quit touring full-time to be at home more and pursue other endeavors. Even though they do not tour full-time, they never officially broke up. The Waiting still plays occasional spot dates. In May 2009 Brad Olsen released his solo album titled The More I Think I Understand The Less I Can Explain, It was produced by "Oats", aka Todd Olsen. Brad Olsen continues to write and record music. He resides in Atlanta, GA with his family. He is available for booking. Todd Olsen also resides in Atlanta where he works as a music producer.
- Out of the Grey is a husband-and-wife Contemporary Christian music project consisting of Scott and Christine Denté. Christine provides lead vocals, while Scott plays guitars and sings background, along with the occasional lead vocals. They have released six studio albums, one best-of compilation and one live EP and have been involved in a number of other projects. Their debut album was ranked 47th in the book CCM Presents: The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music. The couple's last album was released in 2001, and they have been active in other ways since then.
- 106Newworldson is a Canadian Christian pop/soul band. Their musical style is very eclectic, but is principally soul music. The band is signed to Inpop Records and has toured extensively with the Newsboys. The band has toured in North America, Europe, and Australia and New Zealand.
- 107Oh, Sleeper is an American Christian metalcore band from Fort Worth, Texas. Previously signed to Solid State Records they are currently operating independently. To date they have recorded three full-length albums and two EPs.
- 108Legend Seven was a Christian hard rock band formed in the early 1990s by three former members of Ruscha, another Christian band from the 1980s. The band made its debut in 1990 under the name "Archon" on a compilation disc released by Heaven's Metal magazine, with a self-produced version of "After The Fall." The song was re-released on the band's self-titled debut album, Legend, in 1991 on Word Records. Shortly after, the band was forced to change its name to Legend Seven upon learning that another band was already using the name Legend. They released Blind Faith in 1993. Both albums were produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Bubba Smith and garnered several hits on Christian radio. The band disbanded in 1994.
- Sleeping Giant is an American Christian metalcore band from Redlands, CA. Sleeping Giant has recorded two full-length albums through Facedown. The band has performed at Scream the Prayer Tour and the Atticus Metal Tour III.
- The Classic Crime is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington formed in 2004. The band's current lineup consists of Matt MacDonald, Alan Clark, Robert "Cheeze" Negrin, and Paul "Skip" Erickson. They have released three albums and an EP on Tooth & Nail Records, two of which, The Silver Cord and Vagabonds, charted in the Billboard 200. In July 2011, the band left Tooth & Nail to produce a fourth album with the help of fan donations via Kickstarter, called Phoenix.
- Sir Cliff Richard, born Harry Rodger Webb in Lucknow, British India, on October 14, 1940, is an iconic figure in the British music industry. With a career spanning over six decades, he has firmly established himself as one of the best-selling artists in the United Kingdom and around the world. Known prominently for his distinctive voice, charismatic stage presence, and versatility in genres ranging from pop, rock 'n' roll to contemporary Christian music, Richard's contributions have impacted diverse aspects of the music landscape. Richard's journey in the music field began in the late 1950s with his band, the Drifters (later renamed the Shadows). His debut single "Move It" released in 1958, was highly acclaimed and often hailed as Britain's first authentic rock 'n' roll song. - 114King James is a metal/rock supergroup formed in 1993 by guitarist Rex Carroll. He joined former Sacred Fire frontman, Jimi Bennett to form the band. Some time later, they recruited Tim Gaines and Robert Sweet, of Stryper, and released their first album in 1994. The band supported the album with a tour without Gaines, who declined to join after the recording. Sweet toured with the band into 1996, but did not participate in their second release. Carroll and Bennett remained together and released a second album, The Fall, in 1997. At that time there was talk of another King James release, but Whitecross regrouped, and Jimi joined former Petra drummer Louie Weaver to form Viktor. Both groups have released new CDs as of 2006. After fulfilling those obligations, the band regrouped and released MaXimus in June 2013.

In June 2008, Payne announced her retirement from the group, in order to spend more time with her husband and four children. The group's debut self-titled album was released in 1993; since then, they have been recognized as one of the top Contemporary Christian music bands in the United States. In 2003, they released their ninth album, 24 – a compilation of 24 previous hits.

Palacios joined the band in 1986 and has remained with them since, releasing nine studio albums, including three in Spanish. In 1998, Palacios released his first instrumental guitar solo album entitled Epic Tales of Whoa! on Cadence Records. The album was assembled over a ten-year period, and received critical acclaim from the metal community. Presently he is working as a sound mixer, engineer, and producer for various Christian artists. Palacios is best known for his use of synthetic noises in combination with "natural" guitars and other instruments to create interesting or inspiring sounds.
- Further Seems Forever is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Over its initial eight-year run the band experienced several lineup changes, resulting in a different lead vocalist performing on each of their first three studio albums. Original singer Chris Carrabba recorded The Moon Is Down (2001) with the group before leaving to start Dashboard Confessional. He was replaced by Jason Gleason, who performed on How to Start a Fire (2003) but left the band the following year. Former Sense Field vocalist Jon Bunch joined Further Seems Forever for Hide Nothing (2004). The band broke up in 2006 but reunited four years later with Carrabba on vocals. Their fourth studio album, Penny Black, was released in 2012. The band's music is often classified as indie rock and is frequently associated with the emo genre. They have also been classified as a Christian rock act due to the individual band members' religious beliefs, frequent themes of Christianity in their lyrics, their association with the predominantly Christian Tooth & Nail Records label, and their performances at Christian-themed festivals such as Cornerstone. Despite these associations, the group has claimed not to be an explicitly Christian band, but rather a rock band with Christian members.
- 120PAX217 was a Christian Alternative rock band from Orange County, California. The band's music was well known in the underground Christian scene at the time for its unique sound and optimistic lyrics. The name comes from "Pax" which is Latin for "peace" and the Bible verse Ephesians 2:17. The band's style consists of a mix of punk rock and rap with some reggae influences. PAX217's lineup consisted of David Tosti on vocals, Jesse Craig on guitar, Josh Auer on bass and Joey Marchiano on drums. Former members include "Tito" on keyboards, Bobby "Bobbito the Chef" Duran as disc jockey, Ethan Luck on guitar, Dan Sessum on guitar, and David Tosti's younger brother Aaron "Skwid" Tosti on drums, who eventually played in Hawk Nelson. The band began in 1999 and broke up in 2005. PAX217 was similar in sound to 311, Skindred, Christian rock peers Earthsuit and P.O.D. PAX217 released two albums: Twoseventeen and Engage, and was signed to Forefront Records. They also released an EP titled Check Your Pulse in 2004 independently. Dave Tosti's rapping was compared to that of fellow Christian rocker Sonny Sandoval.
