Today we celebrate Victoria Ncube, Food & Beverage Coordinator at The Victoria Falls Hotel who has been a part of the family for 3 years - one-year internship in 2018- and two-years full time. Her role is more of the backbone of the food and beverage department, bridging the link between the guests and the hotel, seeing to all inquiries, functions, groups, reservations, making sure processes are moving swiftly and smoothly considering providing quality service delivery. Victoria enjoys meeting guests and getting positive feedback from them on the quality-of-service delivery given to them. A perfectionist by nature, it always gives her joy to see the success of teamwork and getting the anticipated outputs from good planning. With the complexity of the industry, it is always exciting to get new information and learning new things and trends every day. Victoria has always been intrigued by creating memories and engaging with people. This influenced her academic choices and her appreciation of the position she holds today.  She has been to the School of Hospitality and Tourism (Hotel School) where she studied Tourism and Hospitality Management and grew knowledge and expertise around events management with organisations and catering companies through part – time engagement. This is where she discovered her skills and drive. Her internship at The Victoria Falls Hotel in 2018, exposed her to Hotel standard requirements, services styles and got to put into practice the theory from her academia. Today we celebrate Judith Zinyoro our Guest Relations who has been a part of the family for just over 4 years. One of her key roles is to ensure that our guests have a memorable, pleasant and comfortable stay with us. Taking care that any issues are solved promptly, so as to ensure unmatched guest satisfaction, all the times.   Judith has enjoyed 24 years of work experience concentrated in CRM, Sales/ Business Account Management, Training Development, and Quality Management with exposure to Degreed Accounting/Payroll. An MBA Graduate; a holder of a BComm Degree in Management, a Post Graduate in Management, and an Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe Diploma (IOBZ)and continues to pursue further accolades as she believes that we always learn something new, if we have the right attitude.   Her motivation and inspiration – Jesus! John 3:16. He loved and died for us whilst we were still sinners and accepts everybody, no matter who they are. Practice active listening in order to understand and address all stakeholder needs effectively. b)    Be happy and confident:  ✔     In who you are as a person, and in interacting with both guests & colleagues. c)    Obtain industry experience if you get the opportunity: ✔     To stand out in the Tourism competitive field, gaining relevant experience through volunteer work, part-time roles or internships can be invaluable. This will assist you in acquiring hands-on experience in tourism and guest relations operations. In addition to building a network of industry contacts. d)    Pursue relevant education and training: ✔     Consider acquiring a degree or certification in tourism, hospitality management, or a related field to strengthen your knowledge and skills in guest relations. Look out for opportunities to attend training programs, conferences or workshops to stay current with best practices or industry trends. e)    Embrace adaptability and problem-solving skills: ✔     The tourism industry is fast-paced and dynamic.
