Commercial Aviation Association of Southern Africa and is a non-profit organisation for its members, run by its members. CAASA’s main aim is to represent the interests of its members and affiliated associations at local, national, and regional levels. CAASA provides a platform for all its members, of the general commercial aviation industry to voice their concerns and participate in the affairs of the aviation sector. It is representative – CAASA sits on a wide range of committees and bodies to monitor and influence legislation and policies Campaigning – CAASA attempts to change situations or introduce new procedures to benefit the aviation industry Monitoring – CAASA monitors changes in legislation and in the market place Promotion – CAASA supports and promotes a variety of aviation organisations Information – CAASA keeps its members advised on the latest information through various channels CAASA is the umbrella organisation for eight associations, namely; • Airports and Aerodromes Association of Southern Africa • Association of Aviation Training Organisations of Southern Africa • Association of Aviation Maintenance Organisation of Southern Africa • The Association of Southern African Aerospace Traders and Allied Industries • The Helicopter Association of Southern Africa • Association of non-scheduled operators • The Commercial Unmanned Aircraft association of SA • The Association of Aviation Design Organisations

AQSASA's main objectives are to promote high levels of quality and safety in the aerospace sphere and to support growth in the aviation industry. Formed in 2024, AQSASA is involved in various negotiations with the National Aviation Authorities of Southern Africa and other aviation stakeholders to resolve issues pertaining to its sphere of influence. AQSASA exists as a regional representative body for aerospace Quality and Safety professionals who provide services to the aviation industry's operational, maintenance, training, and infrastructure sectors. CAASA opens the General Aviation Park at #AAD2024 The Commercial Aviation Association of Southern Africa (CAASA) General Aviation Park initiative has attracted and is hosting eight exhibitors within the park, placed between Gate 1 and Hanger 3N. CAASA has re-imagined the General Aviation Park to showcase general aviation within the industry, including its respected members. The park is open, so come and experience the innovative technology on display. Exhibitors include: Drone Ops CFS Aviation Group Zeel AI Hussar Security & Defence Solutions Concilium/LiveU The South African Civil Aviation Authority Vertical Solutions Africa Aviation DJA Aviation Insurance CAASA will be the lead partner for #AAD2026 and aims to promote an increased commitment to the commercial and aerospace sectors.
