GVK-Siya Zama was recently featured in Construction World SA for our redevelopment of Cape Station into a mixed-use residential and retail space for Eris Property Group (Pty) Ltd This project, which began in 2021 and concluded late last year, is one of our largest projects to date. The redevelopment transformed the station's forecourt into a key public space, enhancing urban connections and providing a dignified, active area for commuters, shoppers and office workers to relax and engage. Chris Maughan, the Managing Director of our Cape business unit, shared insights into the project's purpose, which included introducing student accommodation in a transport node serving UCT, CPUT and other significant tertiary institutions. Chris also discussed the journey of building the precinct, implementing cost innovations and overcoming various challenges. We are delighted with the results of this project, which demonstrate our ability to manage large, complex projects within strict budget and time limits. This success reflects our team's dedication, expertise and our supportive, friendly work environment.
