We are honoured to have been recognised as a Top 5 Youth Jobs Contributor at the YES ESG Awards. 🌟 The YES ESG Awards recognise the invaluable contribution to social impact through youth job creation, contributing to building a sustainable and inclusive economic future for South Africa.   Since 2021, we have invested over R100m in our participation in YES, with more than 2,300 young people receiving work experience with us and will be creating an additional 1300 jobs to support this initiative over the next few months. We have appointed more than 60% into permanent positions, whilst many others go on to be employed by other corporates.   The positive impact of TFG's participation in the YES program extends beyond the workplace, creating a ripple effect within the broader community.     TFG and Foschini recently partnered with Twyg for a Cape Town edition of their Slow Fashion Festival to promote slow, responsible and ethical fashion. Foschini donated clothing to support Twyg's Swap&Mend event, where people gather to exchange gently worn, pre-loved garments they no longer wear. The event is also an opportunity for mending, altering or upcycling clothing items as a communal table of like-minded, sustainable fashion lovers. 💚 Founder and editor of Twyg, Jackie May, said of the event, "It's thanks to our partners including TFG that we can create activations and events that actualise and inspire circular fashion systems. Thanks to a generous donation of clothing from Foschini we could kickstart this event with great stock." It was such an inspiring event and it demonstrated that together we can drive greater circularity in fashion. ♻

    🔥 Meet Naeelah Jumat and her brand Socioculture. 🔥 Established in 2016, Socioculture aims to create garments that are gender neutral and draws inspiration from streetstyle culture and the massive role that it plays in the fashion industry. Naeelah has been part of the TFG Sustainable Design Incubator programme since March 2024, where she has learned more about the business of fashion. We are thrilled to announce that her latest collection will be launching in select Archive stores from 30th August 2024. Have a sneak peek of what to expect below! 👇 Naeelah says, “I am super excited to see how everyone receives the collection. All these opportunities [through the TFG SDI] have been really amazing for me to experience as a young designer and I cant wait for what's to come in the future.”
