STOP THE BLEED TRAINING Wayne Krumm, Excellerate Services Intervention Unit Manager and registered Stop the Bleed instructor with experience from Iraq and Afghanistan, recently conducted a specialised training session in Cape Town for our security team. The Stop the Bleed program goes beyond standard First Aid, focusing on how to handle traumatic bleeding incidents effectively. From severe motor vehicle accidents to gunshot wounds, stabbings, and trauma-based situations, this training prepares our team to act as first responders during critical incidents. Widely used by the Department of Defence and adopted by most South African law enforcement, the program equips participants with vital knowledge to manage extreme bleeding and save lives. PROTEST WARNING: Taxi-Related Unrest in Durban Taxi-related protests are currently taking place around Durban Station, near 1 Jeff Taylor Crescent in Stamford Hill. Roads like Umgeni Rd/R102 are impacted, with disruptions affecting major routes including the N3 towards Pietermaritzburg, the N2 towards Ballito, and high-risk areas like the Tongaat and Marianhill Toll Plazas. Only one lane is open on Johannes Nkosi St (Alice St) heading into town from the N3. Our Excellerate Services K9 Unit is on-site assisting Metro Police. Roads are starting to clear as the last vehicles are towed, but please remain cautious as some disruptions may still occur. We’re monitoring the situation closely and will keep you updated

Our vigilant security team successfully interrupted an attempted theft on the rooftop of one of our client sites, where a suspect was trying to steal copper pipes from the compressor unit. Thanks to our quick response, we were able to recover the stolen pipes and prevent further damage to valuable assets on the roof, including sun panels. While the suspect managed to flee, this incident is a clear example of our team's dedication to keeping our clients' property safe and secure.
