📊 #Challenges for School Girls in De Doorns, Western Cape: 💧35% of schools lack proper #sanitation facilities, disproportionately affecting girls. 💧50% of schools do not have adequate #handwashing stations, increasing #health risks. 💧1 in 5 school #girls miss #school during their period due to inadequate WASH facilities. 💧Girls facing these challenges can experience a 20% drop in #academic #performance. 💧Up to 10% of girls may drop out of school entirely due to these combined challenges. The #Pitstop project is committed to improving these conditions, ensuring that all girls can attend school with #dignity and without interruption. 🌍💧 #WASH #sdg6 #safe #water #africa

The spread of waterborne diseases like cholera and dysentery. 2. Increased risk of parasitic infections. 3. Contamination of local water sources. 4.
