BTE Renewables delivers utility-scale wind and solar projects across Africa. We have a proven track record of taking projects from development, all the way into operations. Our team brings nearly two decades of experience in the power sector, having raised over USD1bn of funding to take projects to financial close and delivered over 436MW into construction and operations. We have our own in-house construction and operations team consisting of contract management, engineering performance, site construction, and power plant operation specialists. We also have a dedicated team of sustainability/ESG specialists, who work across all of our projects. Our projects are developed to IFC performance standards, uphold the highest health, safety, and environmental standards and work closely with local communities to ensure long-term value creation for all stakeholders. Today, we have nearly 500MW of operating projects in our portfolio.

We are excited to announce that the sale of BTE Renewables to ENGIE and Meridiam has reached completion. Engie has acquired our South African operations, while Meridiam has acquired our Kenyan operations. We would like to extend our strong appreciation to Actis, who has been a strong and competent shareholder. With their support and engagement, we have grown into an award-winning IPP meeting international best practice in all aspects of operations. Our journey now continues, as our South African operations will commence a carefully planned integration into Engie South Africa as one expanded organization. The significant efforts of Engie to prepare for the integration and introduce themselves to our teams including visits by Engie CEO Catherine Fiamma MacGregor and the Executive Management of Engie Renewables led by Senior Executive Vice President Paulo Almirante have been tremendously appreciated, and the joint operations will now execute our mutual significant ambitions already having 1.6 GW in operation in South Africa and with three projects entering into construction. We're proud to share the positive impact of our recent health programme in the communities surrounding our Aggeneys Solar and Konkoonsies II Solar plants in the Northern Cape. In collaboration with partners, we've been able to help fortify the Khai-Ma Municipality's Department of Health through a mobile health initiative in Pofadder, Witbank, Pella, and Onseepkans. Since March, our initiative has reached 1,500 community members, mainly school children. We are proud to have been able to provide essential health screenings, oral and optometry check-ups, and valuable health education. This programme, in partnership with Innovo Mobile Healthcare, addresses the challenges faced by the Khai-Ma Local Department of Health, aiming to strengthen its services.
