5-stjärnig recension från Esther: Arguably... no definitely (!!), the best ramen spot in Manhattan. Wait for my party of 2 was about 10 minutes on a Tuesday night and this place was packed. Funnily enough, this restaurant has almost no Japanese waiters or cooks but delivers the excellence and more of Totto Ramen and Ippudo combined. Based on the Yelp reviews, I ordered the steamed buns and Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with bean sprouts, mushrooms, and a side bowl of rice-- I was not disappointed. The broth for the ramen was so creamy and delicious. The noodles were thick and filling. The pork buns? They sent me to heaven and back. **Note: The best seat in the house is definitely the corner seat by the door. Most spacious and comfortable. They do accept Credit Cards ( I used my Amex). No reservations. The bathroom is reasonably clean. -
5-stjärnig recension från Esther: O. M. G. The best $3 (and change) I've ever spent was here , last night. With only $5 in my pocket in a cash-only district, it's hard to find anything decent in the area. The food gods allowed me to stumble upon this CLEAN, hole-in-the-wall amazingness. Their front window is cluttered with famous celebrities (Anthony Bourdain to Bobby Flay) that have frequented this joint. Tried the cheapest food item on their menu which was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger. Best choice of the day/month. The bread tasted like a combination of Indian Naan and Chinese Pork Bun bread. The lamb wasn't too gamey like others have said previously and not overly seasoned.... This is the type of restaurant that makes NYers want to come back to Chinatown. Literally as good as it gets in NYC. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: The Sweet Potato cupcakes have just the right balance of sweetness and blend of spices. Definitely not overpowering or too heavy on the stomach. Will go here any day over those commercialized cupcake places. Was a little off set by the fact that they didn't mention that their cake writer (?) had left for the evening until after they had frosted our cake. I don't imagine many people buy large cakes without having the baker write something on it for a special occasion or other. Luckily, there was a female employee sitting on the side that was willing to write out our message for us. Backing Mike C. on the FREE mini cupcake samples-nice touch. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: O Hot Dayuuuum! Haven't been here in a long while! Came back for their delectable wine selection as mentioned in my previous review. I tasted both their Casanova (red) and Bella Dona (white) to refresh my memory. Bella Dona was the choice of the night. After choosing out wine , we started our meal off with the Roasted Eggplant Tapenade, then gourmet steak chimi (double yum!), and finished off with their NY cheesecake. Overall, the prices and the flavors you just cannot beat! However, the only thing that may be frustrating is if you come for dinner and there is only one (friendly!) waiter. Other than that, there are no complaints here! -

4-stjärnig recension från Esther: Love the endless pasta selection here ! When I came there was basil gnocci, linguini alfredo, and penne with marinara. I also ordered ribeye, veal , and an antipasto misto. The gnocci was just not up to par for me as the basil was overpowering but the alfredo and penne were absolutely delcious. The real star of my meal was the Ribeye that was cooked to perfection. YUM. I didn't care much for the veal or the antipasto misto. One thing I did notice is that the presentation for pre-plated meals wasn't too great and the "springy appetizer" was definitely forgettable. Ambiance was great .. the interior decoration really left me starry eyed (literally).. the ceiling is made of glass, you can look up and see the twinkling stars c: -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: I love me some fried chicken . Harlem is the go-to place for fried chicken, but with so many places to go , you may be wondering where is THE place to go? Charles' is your lucky number. The chicken here is finger lickin' good and not to mention their all you can eat buffet (for ~$14) is soooo worth it... so make sure to come here on an empty stomach. Charles and the lady servers here are awesome and super nice, they got that southern hospitality going for them. LADIES: Try not to come here alone. There are potheads and many sketchy people around this area... the buses are not frequent. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: Friendly and laid back staff. Love the cool atmosphere. Will definitely try to visit next time I stop by NY Adorned. Coffee is solid and cheap. Try to take out some cash at the nearby ATM (BOA). I am not sure if it's cash-only but for this place it's worth taking out some cash. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: Came here for lunch during restaurant week so this review is a bit overdue. Nice decor, pretty calm, and food was good but does not live up to the Ramsay reputation. If you want to get in and out in a 1 hour time constraint, you should definitely request it to the waiter. Didn't care much for the fish (forgot what type it was, maybe Halibut?) Risotto was so creamy and delicious, would definitely come back for this. Vanilla Custard was delicious and creamy as well. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: Solid Korean food that's quick and cheap. Great place to come for pre-gaming for cheap drinks. The only downside is that when the drunk kids get rowdy, management is either nowhere to be found or quietly waiting for the kids to run their course. Otherwise, I am a fan. -

4-stjärnig recension från Esther: This is the better location. The one closer to Harlem is just straight-up ghetto and has smaller portions. I only come here for one thing and that is the Lomo Saltado with cilantro rice (extra 50 cents). Deliciously tangy and addicting. Who would have thought that chinese-peruvian could work? -

I will be visiting soon for bo ssäm (whole pork butt, dozen oysters, kimchi, rice) which I will need to reserve ahead of time. The place is trendy and will fill up quickly for both lunch and dinner service. Make sure to make reservations and request a bench seat. The bar stools are a bit claustrophobic and practically had a screaming war just to be heard across the table. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: I can't believe Crumbs has better reviews than Magnolia's. If Magnolia's and Crumbs' were to go head-to-head in a cupcake war, Magnolia would destroy Crumbs'. It is not oversized and the cream is just sweet enough, not overboard. Unfortunately, I tend to visit Magnolia's every time I'm in GCT.... damn my weak willpower. -

Even writing this review is making my tastebuds water. ....unghhhh As a warning, if you are non-east asian, the servers will not give you the "appetizers" (kimchi, daikon) but will give you chinese fried noodles instead. Make sure to ask for the appetizers if you really do want it. -

4-stjärnig recension från Esther: I came here twice. Once for RW and once again just because. I would have come here a third time (mid-december) if they didn't mess up my reservation. I ended up going to Quality Meats (which is another amazing steakhouse) This is one of the top steakhouses in NYC with great flavors. I love the filet mignon. I am not a fan of their spinach cream . Steak Tartare , Canadian Bacon, and Osso Bucco are must haves. I really love the 40's atmosphere ... right when you walk in you see a live band and the owner and son are there to greet you. The treated myself and my date to a free round of cannolis and were very cordial. On the second occasion I was here, I saw the owner and son dine in . That's when you know this place is as good as it gets. -

4-stjärnig recension från Esther: It's always crowded for weekend dinner service so make sure to make reservations! Portions serve 2-3 people per plate. Penne a la Vodka is nothing stellar Eggplant Parm is delish! Rigatoni and Sausage is a must-eat! Shrimp Scampi is just OK Chicken Marsala... sauce was just amazing here!! Calamari is a good starter! Stuffed Clams - another great starter! Don 't get the titanic dessert... it's just a hot mess. The tiramisu is great! -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: So, there's two locations for this place. One in Manhattan Valley and one on the Upper West Side. The Manhattan Valley one stinks. Portions are smaller and it's a little bit more down scale than the Upper West Side one. There's only one thing I order or want when I come here and that's the Lomo Saltado. The sauce is perfectly tangy and the beef is just right. It's a perfect blend of sauteed veggies, french fries, and rice. Also, if you're ordering this dish you might as well go all out and get the cilantro rice. Perfect combo! -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: Came here for the Pork Buns... just like everyone else. They were delicious, it's Chinatown in a bun. As a warning to non-Asians, Pork Buns are generally sweet. Don't think too much about where the meat came from either. If you want to try something else, try their coconut buns. Their coconut buns are super delicious, moist, and hit that sweet spot just right. The coconut filling is that of what you would find in an Almond Joy. Definitely killer spot . CASH ONLY. The buns are like 90 cents a piece. Def. worth it. -

Upon arrival we were quickly seated, I could already tell the ambiance was just right for datenight. Right from the start our waitress was very attentive and kind, in fact , all of them were. We were served complimentary green tea in quirky, cute cups which is probably the best green tea I've ever had. So smooth and comforting . Not that cheap lipton stuff. We were off to a good start. The waiters did not have a "I only attend to the tables I am getting tips for" attitude. They were humble and polite. I also loved the attention to detail. My waitress was kind enough to even clean the table in between our sushi plates and to even point which sushi was placed where for our first four rolls. So, why didn't I give this place 5 stars? As soon as my date and I got home , we had to hit the toilet. Sad, but true. We are hoping that this was a one off as we really loved this sushi joint. Great prices, perfect service, and awesome location. -
4-stjärnig recension från Esther: What a lovely find this was!!! The food here is just great and the atmosphere is cozy and cute. I ordered the creamosa while my partner ordered the piccante. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. I like that the menu offers a small and large portion. However the large portion may not be big enough for the men.
