tl,dr: ok place for free drop-in pickleball.

      + Likes:
I visited here for pickleball. Nice place, lots of friendly players. I like that pickleball here is open-play (no reservations needed).
You can fit 4 pickleball nets per tennis court here. Out of the 8 open tennis courts here, 2 are designated for pball setup. Thus, normally a total of up to 8 pball courts may be set up here.

As you can see in my screenshot, there are no permanent pickleball nets here on these tennis courts. You have to bring your portable pball net. At least the pickleball lines are permanently drawn on.

      - Non-likes:
Tricky parking situation. Sundays are more lenient than other days of the week. I forgot the specific rules. Sometimes you can park on the street, though there's limited space. Other times they'll ticket you. And yet, you know there are many other pickleball places with free parking. In this bigger perspective, the parking issue at this College just to play pickleball is unnecessarily annoying. If you're unlucky enough to find street parking far down the street, it's gonna be a bit of a walk to the pickleball courts, cuz there's no immediate entrance from the street into the pball courts. Such an unnecessarily long walk around. It's annoying how the white pball lines are drawn on the baby blue tennis court, and the outer boundary is painted dark blue. Very confusing and somewhat hard to see. Also, the lights on the outer parts of the tennis courts are dim here, so the pickleball court is split between a bright side and a shady side.

Bluest pickleball-retrofittable tennis courts I've ever seen.

You have to be a self-starter to get through Cypress College unscathed. You have to pursue time with counselors. I hear sometimes the baseball team is good. Through a stroke of good fortune I chanced by, participating in some good dance, music, and drama classes. The mortuary program was top notch. There are a lot of racists. It's not the safest place in the world for young women.

Love this school! This review is mostly for the court reporting program. The teachers are overall very good and our lab aid makes everything go smoothly and provides that additional support whenever needed. Every student I've met in the program is so friendly and helpful. Love this school and recommend it to anyone considering starting a career in CR

More about the CR program- it is go at your own pace and classes are easy to get. The schedule offered can be tricky especially if you work full time but it is doable if you work nights or like me (I work 3- 12's). Core classes are starting to be offered during the summer which is super helpful as well. There's free lunch provided daily to all students in the cafeteria. Only thing to remember- don't park head out and you'll be good!

I never attended school here great, but I did play here at a basketball tournament. I thought the campus was nice and the best part was that parking was free. You can't say that for every community college around here.

      Great location.

Phenomenal Veterans Resource Center. Clean and safe campus. Campus safety is always patrolling. The Professors are genuinely nice people. Admissions/records is resourceful/helpful. I've been going here for over a year now and wouldn't change anything about my experience. It's really good for a community college.

I love the campus and really like the new remodeling done to the science buildings. The pool is also very nice, the high dive is the perfect height.

Came here on the weekend for the swap meet and got a ticket because my car was parked front facing out, instead of front facing in. I never even heard of being ticketed for that. After researching, I learned they do this because they need to see students parking permits. But this was on a Sunday when permits are not even needed, and everyone parked there are guests not students.

If I want to dispute it, i'd be sending an appeal to the same place that gave me the ticket. Gee that sounds fair. And if I decided not to pay it on principle, they warn you that the DMV may refuse to allow you to renew your car registration until you pay. And they double the fine if you don't pay it on time.

Nice little racket they got going on there.

So for potential students who are considering enrolling here, you should consider this a red flag. They're probably going to fleece you any way they can, like textbook costs and tuition price hikes.

Good luck registering here or Finding anyone to help you. I spent 40 minutes trying to get someone to help me and wound up with nothing. You can have all the online help chats in the world, if the person on the other end doesn't have an answer, what's it all for? They happily demanded and recorded medical information, sexual preference and orientation and my gender, and race.

If the admission process is this discombobulated, what do I think the campus is going to be like?

The counselors here never help you with anything they are awful and give wrong information. I have been doubted of my abilities to excel in honors many times by these counselors. Counseling center is very useless no one helps you and all they do is give you wrong information. I've asked for harder classes since I have taken several APs in highschool, and they put me in whatever they felt like. I've had to change my classes several times because of this. My goal is to transfer and I've been doubted of this many times as they tell me I'll stay in community college for 4 yrs because of my impacted major and that I'll never make it in time to transfer. I wish I chose Fullerton college instead.
