Is this business still open? Their phone line is always busy and when I try to order online, it says the business is either closed or not taking online orders right now. It’s 7pm on a Friday.

      A:

Their small takeout location is still open, not the larger restaurant.

Is this a good/appropriate place to get some work done (on laptop) on the weekends? Reviews look great - just wondering about working and weekend wifi! Thanks!

      A:

I think this place is super busy on weekends but since the new location is bigger than the old spot perhaps it won't be a big deal if you're there on your laptop. Perhaps try going after brunch hours to check it out.

We ate a mid-late afternoon meal here two days ago with another couple. We were visiting The Cloisters beforehand and I'd read about a few nearby places on Yelp, with this one sounding the best overall. Most aspects were quite positive; the interior is very attractive, it has a decent amount of seating, it was rather quiet (with the exception of a little brat who sat at the next table and was blasting a video on her iPhone [fortunately not until shortly before we'd left]), the food was delicious and the service was exceptionally polite. However, the main negative point was that they were short-staffed and we waited for eons at each stage (first, waiting for our entrées to arrive - and then, waiting for our desserts to arrive - and lastly, waiting for the check). I also thought the prices were high for the small portions, but that seems to be typical for nouvelle cuisine. Regardless, I recommend this restaurant for its positive points.

This restaurant has an "A" rating from the Health Dept.

Delicious food, friendly service, cute interior. Prices are a little on the higher side, but - omg - it's worth it. So good!! I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken satai (?) appetizer (although, could totally eat that giant plate as a meal) and loved the jumbo crab cake entree (not fishy tasting and comes with a well marinated salad).
The pasta my friend ordered came in a bowl so large, the left overs will probably feed her for the rest of the week.
Last but not least, I chose the flan from the dessert menu. My friend resented the fact that there was nothing chocolaty to have and proclaimed that she seriously disliked flan. The waiter ignored her and brought her a spoon to try off my plate anyway. She loved it and ate half of my dessert.

Jumbo crab cake ... from Maryland, apparently ... with savory sweet fruity sauce (comes with salad)
Small, cute interior ... music was a little loud (I'm sensitive), but overall a good mix ...

Went on a Sunday at 1 pm and there were only about five or six tables filled. We were seated quickly but, the waiter took long to do everything- Bring menus to the table, bring water, the coffee I ordered came with the food, the food took long as well and even getting the check. The food was delicious!! It was unfortunate that the service was slow especially with the amount of people that were in the restaurant and for that reason I gave it three stars.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Inwood - and that's in terms of food, decor, and service! True gem. Love their tuna tartare, sea bass (wild & regular), bread pudding dessert, passion fruit martini and white & red sangria. Need i say more? Friendly and professional hostesses at front door to greet you. 4 flat screen tvs by the bar so you can watch a game. Bar tenders are friendly and attentive. This place is truely a unique find in Inwood and I'm so thankful for it!

My friends and I made reservations for brunch on a saturday afternoon and may I say that the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. The food was incredibly delicious. I had the Chimi sandwich with yucca fries and Raspberry french toast with whipped cream and by far the best. Our waiter Erickson was incredibly outstanding and charismatic. I'll definitely come back to beans and vine for brunch again.

I love, love, love the chimi here! Hands down best chime and yucca fries!

If you are in the area make it a point to stop in here. The space is very small and intimate and there is a wait for the food it is worth it.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place and go out of our way now to come here. The food and service is just spectacular!

One tip: make sure you go early and try not to go too hungry because you will be waiting as the food is made to order..

Everything was great, from the food to drinks to the service. Came here on a Saturday evening with friends. We had no reservations and still manage to get seated quickly. It was our first time at the restaurant and we didn't know what to order. We wanted to get one of everything. We asked the server who helped decide what to get. We needed up ordering a lot of food. My favorite was the pasta primavera. The waiter also recommend their passion fruit sangria which was really delicious. Will be coming back again.
