Q:
Is this business still open? Their phone line is always busy and when I try to order online, it says the business is either closed or not taking online orders right now. It’s 7pm on a Friday.
A:
Their small takeout location is still open, not the larger restaurant.

Is this a good/appropriate place to get some work done (on laptop) on the weekends? Reviews look great - just wondering about working and weekend wifi! Thanks!
A:
I think this place is super busy on weekends but since the new location is bigger than the old spot perhaps it won't be a big deal if you're there on your laptop. Perhaps try going after brunch hours to check it out.

I came here for my aunt's wedding and had a great time, and great food! The yucca fries and coconut shrimp were unforgettably good, and the employees were very nice and helpful. I hope to be back next time i'm in the neighborhood

I was a guest at a special celebratory party at Beans and Vines on November 22, 2021. Every aspect of the gala event was perfect. The uniformed staff warmly welcomed us and quickly provided everything any guest requested.
The food was delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented on long tables, arranged carefully so guests could easily access the delicacies. Plates and trays for food selections were quickly replenished and everyone ate heartily.
The friendly atmosphere encouraged guests to easily move around, greet family and friends. Everyone at the party agreed that Beans and Vines was a wonderful place to spend the evening.
Kristine, Beans and Vines' event manager, oversaw each and every detail involved in making the celebratory occasion one we will long remember. Alex owns a great restaurant and we congratulate him for his success.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cheryl R.Queens, NY571713Apr 10, 2019

An ok quesadilla but no reills on $2 soda. It costs 10-20 cents for the soda. How about limit it to one refill but none? Come on cheapies! Wait staff was not necessarily friendly to be in service industry. I wont be back.

My husband and I were meeting friends at Beans and Vines for dinner and we agreed to meet at 7pm. However, I arrived around 6:35 so I could take advantage of their Happy Hour Specials. Once I arrived, I sat at the bar and the bartender, Roman, took care of me - I ordered a mojito and it was fantastic, so good that I ordered another. Suffice it to say, two mojitos pretty much got me drunk. My husband arrived and ordered a margarita and he enjoyed it as well. Both drink were refreshing.
My friends arrived and we were seated at our table. Our order was taken in quick fashion and the waitress was very sweet. We all ordered the Gourmet Chimi (I had mine with a side salad and everyone else a side of yuca fries) - Let me tell you - this CHIMI was among the best I've ever had. So delicious and so flavorful and yeah sure, it gets messy but it's SO WORTH IT!
The restaurant is elegant looking inside and out and the staff is very nice.
Definitely a place I'll want to go back to.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniela A.New York, NY0810Jun 4, 2019
I have been here multiple times so this is long overdue. I have been coming to the establishment way back when it was a hole in the wall back in the day. The food is exceptional. This time around I had the special of the day : oxtail with rice and beans , avocado and sweet plantains. Oh my god it was so bomb!!!! They seriously should add this to the menu permanently. Anyways , the food is always great, the ambiance is immaculate for a restaurant in the Inwood location and service is ok but overall good.

My boyfriend and I came here on an early Sunday evening. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer. This dish was really good, but we just wish we had more than 4 shrimp for $14. We shared our entrees- the primavera pasta with shrimp and the crab cakes. Both were delicious, but again, only given 4 shrimp in the pasta. I wouldn't want to eat the crab cakes as my only entree for myself; they were huge but it came with a side salad that didn't taste like anything. Overall, the experience was wonderful.
