Q:
Is this business still open? Their phone line is always busy and when I try to order online, it says the business is either closed or not taking online orders right now. It’s 7pm on a Friday.
A:
Their small takeout location is still open, not the larger restaurant.

Is this a good/appropriate place to get some work done (on laptop) on the weekends? Reviews look great - just wondering about working and weekend wifi! Thanks!
A:
I think this place is super busy on weekends but since the new location is bigger than the old spot perhaps it won't be a big deal if you're there on your laptop. Perhaps try going after brunch hours to check it out.

TIP: I was told to order the white beans pesto & shrimp dish. Also, there are couches by the entrance to rest while you wait to order, and immediate service at the bar.
BOTTOM LINE: Delish food, very reminiscent of several tapas I had in Mestre Italy.
WHO: party of 2
WHY: Private Grand Opening
WHAT: (Deets) There was a schmorgasboard (sp?)of food. I am not sure if tonight's treats are on the regular menu, but just in case...tonight's menu included mushroom olive-oily flatbread (my fave by far, Delish crunchy bottom), tomato and cheese flatbread, panini-style beef sliders topped with sweetened cabbage, a beautifully oily bouquet of olives (perfectly salty, every one), a cheese platter, including thin rectangles of Brie, bleu (sooooo good), chunks of white cheddar, & cubes of various other types. There were several types of thinly sliced meats, including Prosciutto. Grape tomato & mozzarella ball mini skewers, & fresh fruit arrangements (the sweet pineapples and crunchy pears made my night) were also present. All in all, it was a delight for the eyes, the nose and the palette. I paired my tapas with Los Conquistadores Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, a great choice, of I do say so myself. Merlot from the same company was also an option.
WHEN: Opening 11/21/19
WHERE: dine in
HOW: A train to Dyckman
BATHROOM: roomy (2 separate gender-neutral stalls) there are 2 high top bar stools in either restroom, for (storage?) your convenience.
WIFI: beats me
DRESS CODE: as you like
SERVICE: pleasant and professionalHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for sharing such a descriptive review, Minah! I'm glad we won your favor, and I can see you took a lot of time reflecting on your experience. It's high praise to hear that we were able to transport your taste buds back to Italy. I hope it won't be the last time we see you.
Until next time,

I was absolutely amazed, Very small, hidden restaurant located in Dyckman section of Manhattan. Wow was I shocked. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Waiter Andres recommended a list of food, tried them all and simply delicious.
Appetizer: Coconut Shrimp and Grill Shrimp Tostada(Which is large enough to get as an entree).
Entree: Jumbo Lump Crab Cake
Australian Baby Lamb Chops(TO DIE FOR, SO DELICIOUS)
I will most certainly return, prices are not bad. Please stop by and hopefully greeted by Andres, who was simply the best.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Let's talk about an elevated favorite dish of mine called "chimichurri" at this quaint little place! Perfect date location, secluded, quiet, elegant, great drinks! For starters this place decor is very elegant and sophisticated, the kind of place where you can wear a nice attire but no need for Sunday's best. The bar area is small but the Puerto Rican bar tender is really nice and good conversation if you would like. The drinks were delish, I had a margarita and a passion fruit mojito. The star of the night was my chimichurri I ordered mine to be chicken. It was delish!!!!! Once I bit into in I could taste all of the flavors coming together, reminding me with the first bite of the little stand my mom and dad had in Dominican Republic making this same dish! I will definitely come back!!!

Thank you for the opportunity to hold my money all weekend, offer a bull sh!t resolution. And the girl up front, thank you for being who you are, conservative right leaning nationalist who a-lines with the worst of this society. I can't judge the food this time because I paid for it, but didn't get it. Crazy, if you live in this area, and don't fit the profile. Learn Spanish fast or get ready to be refused at barber shops, passed at restaurants, not acknowledged at most stores, and in this case wait forever watching over 20 orders go out while there is one person waiting, avoid going in, they only care about online orders ,if you fit the mold.
Not that good either, respect change and don't hire rude people who have no idea how to De-escalate rude or unpleasant people. I hate going in, because the service up front is going to hurt sales. Horrible Service excellent food! Give me my money!!!!!! Learn basic things like refunds!!! Holy ISHHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cynthia P.Bronx, NY263239585Jul 25, 2019
UPDATE
They don't honor Yelp check-in deals! There server claimed that it has to be entered in the system, which is password protected and only the manager has the password. The manager wasn't there, so my deal couldn't be applied at that visit.

This is a decent size restaurant in the neighborhood of Inwood. There are about 15 tables that seat 2 or 4. There is a full bar, and they have a good happy hour until 7 on weekdays. Unfortunately they don't have seats at the bar, so this is not a good spot to make a new friend. Once I came alone for dinner, and this social butterfly didnt talk to anyone but the server. However, it's great for a date or dinner with friends. I came for a date and it was a great setting. The decor is classy with Earth tones and dark wood. The service is good as the servers are polite and informed on the menu. They are not attentive as my server didn't check in once she brought the food and drink. Portions are quite big, so if you're petite like me either order just an appetizer or expect to take some home. I ordered the lamb chimi burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were delicious. The meat was slightly overcooked and dry. The flat bread slices made it too big to eat with my hands do I had to knife-and-fork it. Also they put all of the sauces in the same bowl so sadly your mustard, ketchup, and mayo may mixHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley L.New York, NY25414062Jul 17, 2017
The gist: a cozy, affordable spot in the Inwood neighborhood with good food at a very reasonable price!
Ambiance: This restaurant has a hole-in-the-wall vibe, but is definitely well maintained and trendy. The accents are nice with exposed brick and decorative wine bottles. However, the space is very tight, and you find yourself bumping chairs with the people behind you. They do have a bathroom, but it's about 3'x3'
Food: Delicious, and a veritable mountain of food. We tried the catfish tacos, tuna and cranberry salad, and the chicken and avocado panini. No complaints and they were very accommodating to allergies. The homemade lemonade and iced tea are also amazing!
Service: Our waitress was great. Not overbearing but not absent.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Ashley, I'm glad to hear that at the end of the day, you enjoyed your meal with us. It means a lot to see you took the time to leave this follow-up, and my hope is that it won't be the last time we welcome you in for more bites.

I came here for my aunt's wedding and had a great time, and great food! The yucca fries and coconut shrimp were unforgettably good, and the employees were very nice and helpful. I hope to be back next time i'm in the neighborhood

I went to this place after work for a business dinner. There were only two of us and the place was very slow. It took forever to order drinks and have them brought over. The service was horrible, the waitress messed up our order and ignored us most of the time until I literally had to wave her down and say excuse me. Then the best part happened. When she gave us the bill she charged me for food we did not have, charged me double for the drinks we had (I never asked for a double and she never said she was charging me for a double), and then she added on a 25% tip for herself on the bill.
The food here is mediocre, the server will scam you out of your hard earned money, and I recommend this place if you want to be ripped off.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
