Is this business still open? Their phone line is always busy and when I try to order online, it says the business is either closed or not taking online orders right now. It’s 7pm on a Friday.

      A:

Their small takeout location is still open, not the larger restaurant.

    • Q:

Is this a good/appropriate place to get some work done (on laptop) on the weekends? Reviews look great - just wondering about working and weekend wifi! Thanks!

      A:

I think this place is super busy on weekends but since the new location is bigger than the old spot perhaps it won't be a big deal if you're there on your laptop. Perhaps try going after brunch hours to check it out.

Beans and Vines is more of an intimate spot when compared to the regular "turn up" spots in the neighborhood. The decor is beautiful and servers here are quick and professional.

The gourmet chimi was everything everyone says that it is. The chimi was delicious and juicy; it was literally cooked perfectly. The pasta primavera with chicken was also AMAZING. The sauce was super creamy and the chicken was just melting in my mouth.

We each had red sangrias, which I was claiming were really good but weak... Yeah, weak until I stood up to leave and it hit me- HAHAHA.

      I will definitely be back.

After spending 30 minutes looking for a parking spot we were surprised to find the place closed on a Friday evening. A notice posted in the window said they are closed until January 26, 2023, so call before you go!

This place moved from a different location nearby. This location feels more upscale and has a nice indoor decor. The service is pretty good and friendly.

Food - had a chimi, which is a Dominican type of burger... the description sounded great, but when it arrived this looked like a regular burger so nothing special. The yuca fries looked like they were the frozen and out of a box. Maybe you can get away with that downtown, but uptown Dominicans know what real yuca looks and taste like, this wasnt it.

The chilean sea bass dish had a nice presentation and was tasty, i would pick that over the chimi.

Food was ok and environment was corporate- which isn't necessarily bad. But what I do have to say is the lack of a happy hour menu. There's no wines on happy hour and the owner/manager didn't seem confident in knowing what was included. Also the service we received was cloying and based on anxiety. Our server kept his hands in his pockets while talking to us and both he and the owner kept trying to get my partner and I to buy more. Over all - needs room for improvement.

The service was amazing. The drinks, particularly the margaritas were authentic in taste but distinguished from other ones I've ever had. The food came out fast while still having an amazing taste. Kevin was pleasant and attentive. Our waiter was attentive cared for details. Johnathan truly gave us an experience worthy of returning.

I've been coming to Beans and Vines since 2013, five years later I am still a fan of everything and best part is: prices remain almost the same.

I cannot complaint about none of their servers/waiters/waitresses. Every waiter/tress that has ever served us has always been polite, delicate, very attentive and friendly. But Today we noticed their service is escalating and getting even better.
This guy, Erickson, served us Today, he is the best waiter I have seen in my life. Attentive like nobody else, friendly, able to give suggestion if needed. I think he'll be a money machine, the guy even tried to convince us to come back Tonight to eat some good "chivo".

      Honestly, the best service ever!!!

I don't know what good things I can say about Beans and Vines because no matter how much I try, nothing I say will be enough comparing to the quality of the food, the excellence service, the speed of the cooking, etc.

The other location was kinda cozy but this one is not only bigger, but again, it is WAY BETTER. They have this upscale decoration. You feel the great atmosphere, this place is sophisticated while being "not expensive", it is also romantic, cozy, and again NOT EXPENSIVE.

Come by and rate. Call me a liar if you leave in love with Beans and Vines.

      XoXo -

Came for lunch and I will say this is probably the nicest restaurant in the neighborhood. It is a welcome addition so I was excited to try.

It has an inviting modern interior with a good amount of tables. The place was surprisingly empty for lunch. That being said we sat in the back at a hightop and had some privacy.

We started with the eggplant tapenade and the mahi mahi tacos. The tapenade was good with just the right amount of saltiness and eggplant flavor. The mahi mahi tacos were also delicious. The fish tasted fresh and the flavors worked. It had mango in the tacos which could throw some people off but I would suggest trying it.

I ordered the beet salad for my entree. It was as straightforward as you can get and I loved it. The beets are served in big slices and on top of some greens. It came with a dallop of goat cheese as well which worked great with the beets.

The food, the service, and the decor were all good. They also have wifi if you want to get some work done. Solid place.

Relaxing corner of paradise facing busy Broadway. Beautiful decor, with exposed bricks walls framed by lines of wine bottles. The furniture is in solid wood... you can tell they invested in this place.

You're welcomed by professional and attentive service. We went on a rainy Saturday (late lunch), and the place was half empty.

Yellow cornmeal-dusted calamari: delicate and crunchy.

Braised duck quesadilla: they could have been warmer, and could have had a little more duck in it... there wasn't much meat.

Gourmet chimi with ground sirloin panini: the meat was dry (I asked for medium-rare), but the rest of the panini was juicy, so they compensated. The bread should have been crunchier, and the yucca fries were not very hot.

Balsamic grilled chicken breast and avocado sandwich: huge portion, and it came with a very sizable salad... a good deal for what we paid. The chicken was also a little dry, but the avocado and pesto did a great job making it moist.

Overall, although the food was fine, it didn't wow us. We still had a good time, though. Edson was a wonderful waiter... very classy... the reason for the 4 stars.

$5-off if you check in on Yelp.
