INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers are adding some size to the roster.
Former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman is signing with Indiana, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday. Locked On Pacers host Tony East confirmed the report, citing league sources.
Wiseman, a 7-foot center, was picked second overall by Golden State in the 2020 NBA draft. He missed the 2021-22 season with a knee injury and was trade to Detroit in February 2023.
For his career, Wiseman is averaging 9.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He will fill a roster spot behind Myles Turner and Isaiah Jackson on the Pacers' depth chart after center Jalen Smith signed with Chicago as a free agent earlier this week.
