Multiple arrested in Scottsville on drug charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Multiple people are facing drug charges in Allen County.

The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force stated in a release that it worked alongside the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsville Police Department to execute a search warrant on Tuesday at a residence on the 400 block of Mill Street in Scottsville.

The release further states several people occupied the home, including 31-year-old Steven L. Payne, 30-year-old Brittany N. Farley, 54-year-old Michael J. Carter and 33-year-old Carrie E. Stinson.

Through investigation, detectives say they located methamphetamine, marijuana and other items consistent with trafficking narcotics.

The release states two small children were also present.

All four were arrested and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.

Payne, Stinson and Farley are charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, persistent felony offender and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Carter is charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
