SU advances to super regionals with 4-3 win

SALISBURY, Md.– Salisbury University defeated Randolph-Macon in a final score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Randolph-Macon would be the ones to strike first as they would drive in the games first run off a RBI single up the middle. SU would respond right back in the bottom of the 3rd as Abby Mace would tie it up with an RBI double to deep left center.

The Seagulls would continue to break the game open in the 4th inning. Lauren Myers would have a 2 run RBI double to make it 3-1. Meghan Reed would follow that up with a RBI single to make 4-1.

All the damage in the 4th inning would be just enough to secure the win for the Gulls. Lindsey Windsor pitched 6 innings with 7 K’s and 1 walk.
