Proposal: Change Wikidata item of this property (P1629)exact match (Q39893449) to Wikidata item of this property (P1629)sameAs (Q54819698)
[edit]exact match (Q39893449) is Simple Knowledge Organization System (Q2288360) specific whereas sameAs (Q54819698) is generic. This property is not Simple Knowledge Organization System (Q2288360) specific however so it should be linked to the more generic item.

Discussion
[edit]- Comment support or object here ... I would say separately also that the label for exact match (Q39893449) should be clearer to avoid this. I will change it later I guess. Iwan.Aucamp (talk) 06:42, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

Replace usage if property exists?
[edit]If Bob Smith has exact match of example.com/people/1122333, and there is a property "Example.com Person ID" that maps to example.com/people/{{ID}}, should usage of "exact match" be replaced with "Example.com Person ID"? Can all such usages be found automatically? Can all such usages be replaced automatically? Bogger (talk) 14:28, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
"exact match" to EU Vocabulary URL on language items is nonsensical
[edit]The EU is a political body and the language classification scheme is an external and often inaccurate attempt to describe languages. This information should either be included with a corresponding property in the identifiers section for an item or not at all. --Middle river exports (talk) 04:22, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
Make label/description more clearly about RDF?
[edit]This property is supposed to be for RDF URIs, but people often misuse it to link to web pages about the same topic. That's not surprising, because neither the English label nor English description even mention RDF.
Perhaps "RDF URI for exact match" would be a better label?
