With 36 years of presence in Tunisia, Valeo was one of the first international companies to set up in this country. Today, Tunisia has four Valeo sites with 2,000 highly qualified employees.

Valeo Tunisia originated in 1984, with the creation of a Valeo Transmissions plant in Jedeida, and began operating with 163 experts in different positions.
Two of Valeo’s Business Groups are now based in Tunisia, Powertrain Systems (PTS) and Comfort and Driving Assistance (CDA). Valeo Transmissions manufactures mostly for major automotive companies like Peugeot & Citroën Group and Renault Group but also manufactures flywheels for the Valeo Mondovi (Italy) and Valeo Amiens (France) sites. In 2000, Valeo set up a new site from the CDA Business Group in Ben Arous, which counts today over a thousand experienced employees. The Group continued expanding, establishing two other CDA sites in Mghira in 2011, and in Enfidha. Today, the Group has over 2,000 employees in Tunisia.

Valeo Transmissions, part of the PTS Business Group, focuses its expertise on manufacturing mechanical clutch devices. The plant of Ben Arous, part of the CDA Business Group manufactures electronic equipment.
The Mghira plant’s expertise is focalized on spare parts, and the Enfidha plant is specialized in the development and the production of interior car parts. The plant uses groundbreaking processes such as injection molding, painting and laser etching.
Valeo Tunisia manufactures for major automakers as well as for other Valeo plants.
