Seal
A three-time Grammy Award winner, Seal has sold over 15 million albums worldwide in his career.
Born on Feb. 19, 1963 to Brazilian and Nigerian immigrants, Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Samuel grew up in the city of Westminister, England, with a foster family during the first four years of his life. A childhood battle against discoid lupus left a young Seal facially disfigured.
The single “Crazy,” off his self-titled debut album, earned Seal his first U.S. Top Ten hit. His greatest success came with the release of the song “Kiss From a Rose,” off his second album, which also appeared on the Batman Forever soundtrack. Seal received three Grammy awards for the 1994 hit.
In May 2005, Seal married German supermodel Heidi Klum on a beach in Mexico. The singer has three children with Klum: Henry (born in 2005), Johan (born in 2006) and Lou (born in 2009). He also cares for Klum’s daughter, Leni, from a previous relationship. The couple separated in January 2012.
