Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais is a comedian, writer and actor known for cocreating, cowriting and starring in the U.K. version of The Office, alongside Stephen Merchant. The BBC series ran from 2001 to 2003.
Of the same name, Gervais guest starred on the American sitcom, which was on the air from 2005 to 2013 and included nine seasons. It starred Steve Carell in the lead role. Additional cast members included John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Ed Helms and Rainn Wilson.
The comedian has also starred in The Invention of Lying, Extras, Ghost Town, After Life and many stand-up specials, including Ricky Gervais: SuperNature and Ricky Gervais: Armageddon.
Gervais also made waves for his raunchy jokes and unfiltered take on hosting the Golden Globes five times in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2020. He’s also taken home two Golden Globes of his own and two Emmy Awards.
The actor-writer has been in a relationship with girlfriend Jane Fallon for four decades, ever since the pair met in college.
