One Stanley Cup Finals team has been determined, and the other spot is within striking distance of one Western Conference finalist.

The Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers will play Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals one day after the Florida Panthers advanced to their second straight Stanley Cup Finals. The Oilers lead the series, 3-2, and they have a chance to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals at home on Sunday night.

Dallas and Edmonton split the first four games of the series after each team won one game at home and one on the road. But the Oilers took the advantage and pushed the Stars to the brink of elimination with a 3-1 Game 5 win on Friday. The Stars will aim to force a Game 7 and a return to Dallas in Sunday night's game.

Here's what to know ahead of Game 6.

Stars vs. Oilers predictions

Sportsbook Wire: Oilers 3, Stars 2

Kevin Erickson writes: "Edmonton carries the hopes of an entire nation on its shoulder, as Canada hasn’t had a Stanley Cup winner since 1993. It appears the Oilers are in good shape to play for Lord Stanley’s Cup as it has 2 chances to close out the Stars. The Oilers have won both closeout games so far in these playoffs, and they’re a good play in front of the home fans in Game 6."

Covers.com: Take the under in a low-scoring Game 6

Tony Sartori writes: "There have been five or fewer goals scored in three of the first five games of this series, and I expect that trend to continue on Sunday."

Action Network: Take the over with two strong offenses

Ryan Dadoun writes: "I expect the Stars to come out stronger with their season on the line, and make life tougher for (Oilers goalie Stuart) Skinner. Will that be enough to win the day? I'm not sure. But coupled with Edmonton's strong attack, it should be enough to at least drive the score above the Over 5.5 goals."
