Ohio state parks temporarily renamed to honor Bengals' Super Bowl trip

Even Ohio's state parks are getting into the Bengals spirit as the team prepares for the Super Bowl this weekend. 

Monday morning, Gov. Mike DeWine announced via Twitter that he teamed up with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to temporarily rename three Ohio state parks in honor of current and past Bengals players.

Park name changes include:

• Burr Oak State Park in Glouster renamed to "Burrow Oak State Park" in honor of current quarterback Joe Burrow, who grew up in Athens. 
• Paint Creek State Park in Bainbridge renamed to "Evan McPherson Extra Point Creek State Park," in honor of the kicker who won the Bengals the AFC Conference championship.
• Hueston Woods State Park in College Corner renamed to "Ickey Woods State Park" after former running back Ickey Woods. The park is located between Cincinnati and Dayton, near Miami University. 

Other landmarks and signs have been temporarily renamed around Greater Cincinnati to honor the Bengals' Super Bowl run, including nine street signs in Cheviot after Bengals players and Paul Brown, and a sign in Hillsboro, temporarily changing the town's name to "Hillsburrow."
