CHICAGO (AP) — Breanna Stewart had 29 points and 12 rebounds and Morgan Tuck added 16 points as No. 1 Connecticut won its 42nd straight game, 86-70 over No. 23 DePaul on Wednesday night.
The three-time defending national champion Huskies (5-0) have not lost since Nov. 17, 2014. an 88-86 loss to Stanford.
DePaul (5-2) was led by Jessica January, who scored 18 points. Brooke Schulte scored 12 and Chanise Jenkins finished with 10.
NO. 3 NOTRE DAME, NO. 10 OHIO STATE
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Madison Cable hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 56 seconds left then made a pair of free throws with 7 seconds remaining to clinch the win as third-ranked Notre Dame held on to beat No. 10 Ohio State despite missing two starters.
Cable led Notre Dame (7-0) with 25 points and 11 rebounds and Lindsay Allen added 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. The Irish played with four guards most of the game because starting forwards Brianna Turner and Taya Reimer are injured.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Buckeyes (4-3) with 27 points.
NO. 4 BAYLOR 89, RICE 38
WACO, Texas (AP) — Khadijiah Cave had 19 points with 10 rebounds and No. 4 Baylor opened both halves with big runs for a victory over winless Rice.
The Lady Bears (7-0), who have gone more than 12 years since losing at home against a non-ranked opponent, scored the game's first 17 points. They opened the third quarter with a 19-0 run.
Alexis Jones had 15 points, Nina Davis had 12 and freshman Kalani Brown 11 for Baylor.
Jasmine Goodwine had 12 points for Rice (0-6).
NO. 5 MARYLAND 82, NO. 20 SYRACUSE 64
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Shatori Walker-Kimbrough had 19 points and eight assists, leading No. 5 Maryland over No. 20 Syracuse in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Center Brionna Jones made eight of her 10 shots from inside the paint and finished with 18 points and seven rebounds for the Terrapins (7-0).
Brianna Butler scored 14 of her 22 points in the first half for Syracuse. Alexis Peterson had 14 points and Bria Day added 10 points and nine rebounds for the Orange (4-2).
NO. 6 TEXAS 53, NO. 9 MISSISSIPPI STATE 47
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Imani Boyette scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as No. 6 Texas beat ninth-ranked Mississippi State.
No other Longhorns scored more than nine points in a game they won despite shooting 39 percent and turning the ball over 23 times.
Boyette, a 6-foot-7 center, scored eight during the third period, when Texas (6-0) created some separation with a 9-2 push that built an 11-point lead.
Victoria Vivians led Mississippi State (5-1) with 12 points.
NO. 8 TENNESSEE 85, EAST TENNESSEE STATE 49
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Diamond DeShields moved into Tennessee's starting lineup and had 31 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven steals as the eighth-ranked Lady Volunteers beat East Tennessee State.
Tennessee (6-1) shuffled its lineup after a 64-53 loss to No. 6 Texas on Sunday that ended the Lady Vols' 27-game home winning streak.
Te'a Cooper came off the bench after starting Tennessee's first six games and scored 23 points for Tennessee. Mercedes Russell had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Shamauria Bridges led ETSU (3-5) with 21 points.
NO. 11 KENTUCKY 84, NORTHERN KENTUCKY 65
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) — Janee Thompson scored 11 of her 21 points in the second half and No. 11 Kentucky beat Northern Kentucky.
The Norse (5-2) made 8 of 15 3-point attempts in the first half in taking a 41-37 lead at the break, but the Wildcats scored the first 13 points of the second half to grab the lead for good.
Makayla Epps added 16 points and Evelyn Akhator 13 for the Wildcats, who shot 62.1 percent in the second half.
Sarah Kinch led the Norse with 16 points.
NO. 15 NORTHWESTERN 85, NORTH CAROLINA 72
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Maggie Lyon hit four 3-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points, Nia Coffey added 22 points and 11 rebounds and No. 15 Northwestern defeated North Carolina in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Lyon was 4 of 8 behind the arc and hit 7 of 10 free throws for the Wildcats (7-0), who led 52-29 at the half.
Xylina McDaniel had 22 points for the Tar Heels (5-4) with N'Dea Bryan adding 16 and Destinee Walker 14.
NO. 21 OKLAHOMA 65, UALR 52
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Kaylon Williams scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, and No. 21 Oklahoma pulled for a win over Arkansas-Little Rock.
Peyton Little scored 11 and Gabbi Ortiz had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists for Oklahoma (6-1), which won its fifth straight. Williams was 9 of 16 from the field and 3 of 4 on free throws.
James had 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting for Little Rock (2-3) to go with eight rebounds and three steals.
