ANNAPOLIS, Md. — With No. 24 Auburn the featured team in Friday's Veterans Classic basketball doubleheader, former Tigers star Charles Barkley took part in a tribute video honoring veterans.

The video, released by CBS Sports, includes highlights of Barkley at Auburn, along with clips of the Auburn basketball team's 2019 Final Four run.

Bruce Pearl's Tigers held off Davidson, 76-66, on Friday night.

Barkley says in the video, "The real heroes are the ones who aren't in the spotlight. They operate in a place where there are no timeouts, no substitutions, and no days off.

"I have been fortunate to experience many great moments in life," he continued. "Topping that list includes meeting these honorable men and women and hearing their tales of bravery and proving they are the real heroes."

Barkley played at Auburn from 1981-84 and carried the Tigers to the 1984 NCAA Tournament.
