Westbrook plays in star-studded pickup game

NBA stars have spent this offseason playing some absolutely stacked pickup games at both Life Time Athletic in New York and UCLA's practice facility.

LeBron James has made appearances at both, and on Monday, Russell Westbrook joined in. As expected, he was very intense.

NBA trainer Chris Brickley posted a series of videos from Monday's pickup session in New York. Westbrook joined the likes of Carmelo Anthony, James Harden and Chris Paul to play in ultra-talented pickup games against other NBA players. Westbrook nearly destroyed a rim in the process.

Whoa.

Westbrook only plays at one speed, and it is extremely fast. While some players may take it easy in an early September game between friends, Westbrook was out there looking to destroy baskets.

And yes, Hoodie Melo made an appearance.
