Punchlines: Backlash over America's national mammal

Why does the United States need a national mammal?  And if we must have one, shouldn't it be, well, human beings?

Those were questions asked by at least two late-night comics after hearing about Congress passing legislation naming the American bison the country's national mammal. A third comic seemed astonished that Congress actually united to pass any piece of legislation.
